The Somewhere Co. makes it easy to add a discount code to your order at the checkout. Just follow these detailed steps, whether you’re on your phone or a computer.
- Get your valid code: The Woman’s Day Deals Team have made this part easier by individually testing each discount code and offer for The Somewhere Co. before adding it here. So just choose one and you’ll get the code and details when you click on it.
- Go to The Somewhere Co: Switch over to the new tab we’ll open for you, or click on The Somewhere Co. from our deal card and you’ll go straight to the relevant section on the brand’s Australian site.
- Build your cart: Choose from the best-selling insulated lunch bags and packs, picnic and beach essentials, travel totes and packing cubes and more. Then, when you’re ready, click through to checkout.
- Add your code on mobile: Go past the items in your order summary, enter the code where it says ‘Discount code or gift card’ and click ‘Apply’ to update your order. Or, add your code in the order summary section just before the ‘Pay now’ button, after entering all your other details.
- Or, add your code on a computer: The discount code field is on the right side of the screen, directly after a summary of the items in your cart. Just pop the code in and click ‘Apply’ to add it.
- Review and finalise your order: Add all the essential delivery and payment details, and decide if you want to pay for Checkout+, which offers free returns and package protection. Then review all the details, including the order total after discounts, and place your order using the ‘Pay now’ button.
Here’s how both discount code sections look on a mobile phone.

Our top tips for adding a discount code at The Somewhere Co.
As Woman’s Day’s Deals Editor, I know all too well that there are times when a code just won’t apply. Our Deals Researchers also spend a lot of time testing and troubleshooting to make it easier for you. So if your Somewhere Co. discount code isn’t applying, these tips can help:
- Copy and paste the code again: A typo or even a lowercase letter can cause issues with The Somewhere Co. discount codes. An easy fix is to copy the code (so it’s exactly the same), paste it in the discount code field and then double-check there’s no extra spaces or characters before to hit ‘Apply’.
- Check if your items are already discounted: The Somewhere Co. only offers discount codes for full-price items, and codes can’t be stacked. So if you already have a discount, take that as a win and save the code for a full-price item.
- Confirm your order meets any other code requirements: The Somewhere Co. discount codes may only apply to select products or ranges. They also only work on orders that haven’t been placed, so add your code before paying. These details will be included with the code – and Woman’s Day will call out the key ones after testing too.
- Check if the code is still valid: The Somewhere Co. discount codes are usually only available for a limited time. Most are also single-use, so if you’ve previously used the code it won’t work again.
Remember: Woman’s Day tests every code and offer here, and reads the fine print to make things easy. But if you get a code elsewhere, check the fine print. Or contact The Somewhere Co. by emailing help@thesomewhereco.com or calling +61434711422.
Does The Somewhere Co. have a discount code for new customers?
The Somewhere Co. doesn’t currently have a discount code for new customers, but you can use any of the offers here to save. There is also a competition to win a $250 voucher for The Somewhere Co., which you can enter by subscribing to the newsletter.
Is there a Somewhere Co. promo code for free shipping?
The Somewhere Co. offers free standard shipping on all orders over $120 in Australia, with no code needed. But if there ever is a promo code or other free shipping offer, you’ll also find it here (our Deals Researchers are on it).
Does The Somewhere Co. have a discount for students? Or concession cardholders?
The Somewhere Co. doesn’t offer a student discount, or discounts for any other concession/senior cardholders. But if you’re a student, you could shop The Somewhere Co. range at THE ICONIC, which does offer a 10% student discount.
I checked the terms and conditions and The Somewhere Co. isn’t listed as an excluded brand for this offer at THE ICONIC. So as long as your order is a minimum of $99 (around 1-2 lunch bags), you could use this offer to save.
Otherwise, remember that the discount codes and offers here are available and tested so you can shop and save with them regardless of your student, senior or concession status.
And if The Somewhere Co. ever has a student or concession discount offer, we’ll let you know.

“The Somewhere Co. bundles are an easy way to save, with some curated sets as well as choose-your-own bundles. I’m currently looking at bundling a lunch bag, cutlery set and Frosty Ice Brick for a gift, which would give me an automatic $15 discount at the checkout.”

The Somewhere Co. FAQs
What are The Somewhere Co’s shipping options?
The Somewhere Co offers free standard shipping on orders over $120 across Australia, with a flat rate of $9.95 for orders less than that. Standard deliveries are made with Australia Post and typically take 3-6 days from dispatch. The Somewhere Co. does state that most orders are dispatched on the same day or the next business day, which is fast.
Beyond standard delivery, The Somewhere Co. offers two other delivery options:
- Express shipping: If you want your lunch bag or other items sooner, there’s a flat rate of $14.95 for express delivery, which typically arrives in 1-3 days from dispatch.
- Beach and bulky orders: Any orders with beach cabanas, umbrellas or loungers are considered ‘bulky’ and have a higher shipping fee of $18.
In terms of timing, it’s also worth keeping in mind that orders including personalisation may take up to 10 business days to be dispatched. And pre-orders have a separate delivery estimate.
Can I click and collect?
Yes, if you’re in Melbourne, Brisbane or Perth you can choose to pick up your order in-store at The Somewhere Co. Just keep in mind that these stores are in suburban locations: Fitzroy in inner-Melbourne, Indooroopilly Shopping Centre in Brisbane and Karrinyup Shopping Centre in Perth.
What is Checkout+ with The Somewhere Co. and is it worth it? I did a deep-dive to find out
When you’re shopping at The Somewhere Co. you’ll see the option and fees for Checkout+ in your cart and at the checkout. This additional service covers any return shipping costs and offers delivery insurance in case your order is damaged or lost. If you go back to the screenshots of where to add a discount code, you’ll notice it was $3.99 on my order.
Whether or not it’s worth it depends on how likely you think you’ll want to make a return and how concerned you are about delivery issues. Basically, it’s subjective. But if you’re weighing it up, here are a few scenarios when I think it’s worth considering:
- If you’re buying a gift for someone and may need to return it via post (rather than in-store)
- If you want to physically look at items before deciding to keep or return them
- If you’re someone who values peace of mind for deliveries
But one more thing to keep in mind: If your order is faulty or not as described, The Somewhere Co. will cover the cost of return shipping. That’s the case regardless of whether or not you paid for Checkout+ as part of your rights under Australian Consumer Law. So keeping this in mind will help you decide whether you want to add or remove Checkout+ from your order.
What is The Somewhere Co’s return policy?
The Somewhere Co. has a 30-day return policy if you change your mind and your products are unused and in their original condition. If you paid for Checkout+, return shipping is free via Australia Post, otherwise you’ll pay for the return shipping label via The Somewhere Co’s return portal.
For online returns that are posted back to The Somewhere Co, you can choose to get an instant refund or exchange. You can also return items to The Somewhere Co. at the Indooroopilly, Fitzroy and Karrinyup stores for free.
Are The Somewhere Co. lunch bag’s good? Here’s my take as a Deals Editor
I’ve been a fan of packed lunches for a long time. They’re a great way to save on ordering food, and make it easier to reduce waste from packaging – both things I put a high value on. The Somewhere Co. first caught my attention because of the bright, fun designs – including collaborations with the likes of Disney and, more recently fellow woman-founded Australian brand Petal & Pup.
The high level of thought that goes into each print on The Somewhere Co. lunch bags (and other pieces) really stands out to me, and the Petal & Pup collection is a great example of it. As The Somewhere Co. Founder and CEO Ellen Powell said a joint post with Petal & Pup on Instagram: “We really wanted both brands to shine through on this collaboration, something fresh and new for our community. So you’ll see a lot of ginghams and florals, which we naturally both lean into.”
The same consideration is also clear in the design of each type of lunch bag. They are all well-insulated and durable, with polyester canvas outer layers. Depending on the style, your lunch will be sealed by a sturdy zip or velcro and magnets. I also like that some have smaller handles and dimensions (great for popping in a work fridge), while others would be ideal for school lunches or bigger outings.
One thing I have noticed, though, is that only some designs have separate compartments or sections. This is something to keep in mind if that’s what you’re used to. But overall, the quality and style of The Somewhere Co. lunch bags stands out to me. They actually make me excited to take my lunch to work, and are now a go-to for practical but fun gifts. Especially with a discount code or deal to save at the checkout.
