Your shortcut to more affordable furniture: The Woman’s Day guide to Freedom discount codes and deals

Freedom is one of those furniture brands just about every Australian is familiar with – even moreso if you’re a fan of The Block, where Freedom is a key brand for furniture and kitchens (there’s even a section on Freedom where you can shop pieces featured on The Block). Freedom is one of the first online stores I go to when I need (or just want) new furniture, and I often end up fantasising about redecorating my whole home with their range of décor.

If you want to update your furniture or refresh your home without spending a fortune on major renovations, Freedom has everything from sofas in fabric and leather finishes, dining sets, home office pieces – plus rugs, lamps, tablewear and so much more. To make it that bit more affordable, we’ve curated this edit of Freedom discount code offers, promotions and other deals you can shop with right now.

We want our readers to get the best value for money, and that’s informed our approach to discount codes. So, the Woman’s Day Deals Team work with our network of partners, trusted sources and other resources built up through years of experience to find and verify these Freedom deals. This includes personally testing each code at Freedom’s online checkout, as well as reading the T&Cs. And when a code or deal ends, we take it down so you only see savings you can get right now.

How to add a Freedom discount code to your order

  1. Get a valid code: Choose an offer here and when you click on it you can copy the code (when one is needed) and get details of the deal. To make it easy, we also open a new tab that takes you to Freedom so you can start shopping.
  2. Add what you want to cart: Browse furniture, rugs, lighting or anything else and add what you want to your cart. Then, when you’re ready, click on the cart icon.
  3. Apply the code: Review your items and choose any additional options, then click on ‘Apply Promo’, enter the code in the field that appears and add it by clicking ‘Apply’. Your order will update with the valid deal and savings.

Easy ways to save and get more value at Freedom

  • myFreedom Rewards: Freedom offers a $50 voucher for every $1500 spent when you sign up as a member of the free rewards program. You also get free metro delivery for online homewares orders over $149, extended 60-day change of mind returns for homeware and VIP access to events and member-exclusive promotions. I recently saw member-only pricing on select sofas, including $720 off the Archer 3-seater fabric sofa for members compared to non-members.
  • Interior decorator service: Freedom offers free phone and in-store consultations with expert interior decorators who can give you recommendations and tips based on your goals and budget. It’s easy to book online, and you can even upload pictures or floor plans.
  • Sales: Freedom has seasonal sales, as well as offering big savings during major events like EOFY, Black Friday and Boxing Day. For example, Freedom had up to 50% off selected sofas, living furniture, bedroom furniture, mattresses and other selected items during the ‘Nesting Season’ sale when I was looking on May 11, 2026. And the Woman’s Day team have previously reported up to 50% off selected items for Black Friday and Afterpay Day.
  • Sale and clearance section: Freedom also has a sale and clearance section where you can find great deals outside of major sale periods. Last time I checked, there were small items like candles and napkins from $2 each, glassware and tablewear from $20, mirrors from $70 and furniture like bedside tables from $359.
  • Trade account: Designed for interior designers, stylists and trade professionals, Freedom Trade accounts offer members 15% off the entire Freedom range, with 5% off sale and clearance prices. Plus early bird access, exclusive trade events and personalised service. It’s free to join, but you do need an ABN and details of your relevant business.

Freedom FAQs

Whenever I’m shopping for furniture, I have a laundry list of questions and details to check. So to save you hunting down answers, here I’ve got details for some of the most common questions about Freedom. I’ve even grouped them by topic, with discount codes and other offers first, then shopping-related details.

FAQs for discount codes, promotions and Freedom rewards

Does Freedom have a discount code for your first order?

Unfortunately, Freedom doesn’t currently have a discount code to save on your first order. But members of myFreedom Rewards get $50 vouchers for every $1500 spent with Freedom, which gives you a way to save after your first few purchases (depending on how much you spend each time).

You can also use any of the offers here to save on your first, or your next, Freedom order.

Is there a Freedom promo code for free shipping?

Freedom doesn’t have an active promo code for free shipping and typically charges delivery fees. But myFreedom Rewards members can get free delivery on homeware orders over $149.

Freedom has also run free shipping promotions before. For example, I saw an offer for free local delivery on orders over $99 in January 2025. And I found old T&Cs on the website for a free delivery promotion in the ACT, dated October 12, 2021.

Does Freedom have a student discount?

Freedom doesn’t have a discount just for students. But if you’re studying, you can still use any of the deals here. Based on my experience covering sales and money-saving strategies (I worked as a personal finance journalist for over 17 years), the back-to-school sales period in January is also a great time to shop deals on home office furniture and other essentials.

FAQs for shopping at Freedom

How much is delivery with Freedom?

Freedom delivery fees start at $19.95 for homeware, $75 for small furniture and $160 for large furniture. The exact amount is calculated based on details including the size of items in your order and your location, with details listed at the checkout before you place your order.

Does Freedom have click and collect?

Yes, Freedom offers free click and collect in-store for homewares, and from Freedom warehouses for larger furniture. But availability depends on the items and stock levels, with details listed on the product pages online. Here’s how it looked when I was shopping for a sofa:Freedom discount code: a screenshot showing free warehouse collection in Sydney.

What is Freedom’s return policy?

Freedom offers change of mind returns for homewares, giving customers 30 days from the delivery date (or purchase date for in-store shoppers) to return items for a refund or exchange. The items must be in their original condition, with unopened packaging and proof of purchase. It’s also worth noting that you need to pay return shipping. But one way to avoid this is by returning items to your nearest Freedom store, which you can do even if you bought them online.

If you’re a myFreedom Rewards member, you have up to 60 days for change of mind returns.

Does Freedom have a mattress trial?

Yes. Freedom has a 120 night mattress comfort guarantee for Freedom and Sealy branded mattresses, which gives you 120 nights to sleep on the mattress before deciding to keep or return it.

It’s worth noting you also need to buy a waterproof mattress protector in the same order as the mattress, and use it for the whole time you’re trialling the mattress. You also need to sleep on the mattress for at least 40 nights before deciding to return it.

Who owns Freedom?

Freedom is now owned by Amart Furniture, after the Australian brand was aquired in 2025. According to Quadrant Private Equity (which owns Amart Furniture), it will continue to operate separately, but have more support on the back-end.

“Freedom is an iconic furniture brand across Australia and New Zealand. The combination with Amart will enhance the product range we can offer customers.”

Our Deals Editor’s secret to saving even more at Freedom

Quality furniture typically has prices to match. And as someone who went through buying cheaper pieces when I first moved out of home, I can definitely say it’s worth it. What I like about Freedom is that it has a range of styles and prices that suit different life stages. Whether you’re in a sharehouse era, have a sophisticated single or couple household or want family-friendly pieces (including for pets), Freedom delivers on quality and style.

But that doesn’t mean you can’t still save a bit. So let me share one last hack that works for Freedom, as well as some other stores: discounted gift cards. You’ll often find digital gift cards for a reduced price through member programs like NRMA, RACV or RACQ. Plus the odd sale on gift cards at Coles and Woolworths, where there are Ultimate Gift Cards that include Freedom as an eligible store to spend money.

For example, when I was writing this, you could get a 4% discount on Freedom eGift cards with an NRMA membership. And Coles offered 10% off a $50 Ultimate Thank You Gift Card (which can be used at Freedom) between April 29 and May 5, 2026. That means you’d spend $45 and get a $50 gift card you could put towards a Freedom purchase.

It may not be as fast or exciting as discount code or sale, but it’s a solid strategy. And when it comes to big ticket items like furniture, every dollar (or percentage point) adds up.
