For example, that Hunter Valley hot air balloon and breakfast offer I found was normally priced from $758 on weekends, while a similar weekday experience was priced from $698 (when not on sale).

Yes. RedBalloon offers $30 off your first purchase over $199 when you sign up to RedBalloon Insider, which also unlocks other discounts and perks throughout the year.
Yes! RedBalloon has a 10% student discount available through UNiDAYS and Student Beans. So you need to create a free account with one of these platforms, verify your student status and they you can claim the 10% discount code.
Some experiences also have discounted student and youth pricing. For example, the Brisbane Story Bridge Climb is $155 for a student, $140 for people aged 6-16 years and $180 for an adult.
If you’re gifting a RedBalloon experience to someone, you can choose to send it as a digital voucher via email, or as a premium, physical voucher that’s sent in the post. At the time of writing, RedBalloon actually had a free standard post and gift wrap offer available, while express postage cost $15.
When I’ve gifted RedBalloon experiences in the past, I’ve usually emailed them to myself and printed them out, then put them in a card to give to the person. But for family interstate, I’d definitely consider the premium voucher as a thoughtful and convenient option.

Does RedBalloon offer refunds?
Yes, RedBalloon offers change-of-mind refunds for experience vouchers within 14 days of the purchase date. The vouchers need to be unused, and not have a set date booked in for the experience. And it’s worth noting the refund can only go back to the person who purchased it.
But you do have the flexibility to exchange a voucher at any time during the five-year validity period. So if you’ve received a gift that’s not quite right, you can choose something you’d prefer.
