The Woman’s Day guide to Petstock coupon codes and deals

Whether you have a dog, cat, bird, fish or any other furry, feathered or scaly friend at home, finding the best food and essentials can be a challenge. Even more so when you’re searching for the best prices (and really, who isn’t?). Petstock has a huge range of products at competitive prices – which are even better with a coupon or deal that can help you save. So our dedicated deals team have used their collective years of experience and contacts to source the latest Petstock coupon codes and other deals you can shop and save with now. We also test them on the Petstock website, read the terms and conditions and removed expired ones so you don’t end up with a dud at the checkout.

How to use a Petstock coupon code

  1. Get a valid code: Click on a deal here to get details of the offer and the coupon code (when you need one). A new window will also open and take you straight to the relevant section on Petstock.
  2. Choose what you want: Add your pet food, toys and other essentials, then click through to the cart.
  3. Add the code: Go to the ‘Summary’ section (I had to scroll to get to it), put your coupon in where it says ‘Enter coupon’ and click ‘Apply’ to update your order. Then just go through the rest of the checkout, pay and you’re all set.

“With a [winter] lineup of cosy clothing and accessories, Petstock caters to pooches and cats alike. From warm fleece jumpers to waterproof rain jackets and even insulated puffer vests, there’s something for every pet – big or small.”

How to double-dip on benefits with Petstock Rewards and Everyday Rewards

Petstock’s loyalty program is free to join – you basically just need an account on the site – and earns you Pet Cash on selected products, with values from 10c to $20. You can then use the Pet Cash you’ve earned to save on your next shop.

Alongside this, Petstock has also partnered with Woolworths’ Everyday Rewards program. So you’ll earn 1 Everyday Rewards point per $1 spent on products you purchase at Petstock. Plus bonus offers from time to time.

While you can’t redeem Everyday Rewards at Petstock, it can help you get $10 off your shop at Woolies, BWS or another partner store more quickly. So it’s pretty much win-win for you and your pets.

More ways to get value at Petstock

  1. Autoship: Autoship lets you set up a recurring order and save up to 15% on the full price of cat food, dog food, flea and tick treatments and more. You can also edit the schedule and pause it whenever you want. It’s great value when you’ve found the purr-fect (or paw-fect) food for your cat or dog.
  2. Free shipping: Petstock offers free shipping for orders over $25, which is pretty easy to spend when you’re buying food, toys or healthcare essentials.
  3. Free health checks: Petstock vets offer health checks for puppies and kittens under 16 weeks, as well as nurse dental and weight checks at no cost.
  4. Palatability guarantee: Petstock offers a 100% moneyback guarantee on its food for 28 days from the date of the purchase, which makes it that little bit easier to try a new food for your cat or dog. If they don’t like it within that 28-day period, and at least 75% of it is left in-date, you can return it for a refund. You’ll just need to take the food, proof of your purchase and let them know why you’re returning it.

“To keep fish happy, you’ll need to ensure they have a clean and comfortable home… You’ll need to test the water quality regularly, which can be done at home with a kit. Petstock also has a water testing service, so you can bring a sample from your tank into the store to have it checked.”

Petstock FAQs: Discounts, deals, delivery and more

If you’ve got questions about shopping with Petstock or want to know a bit more about getting a deal, I’ve done the research to answer some of the most common questions.

Deals and discount FAQs

Does Petstock have a first order discount?

Currently, Petstock doesn’t have a discount for your first order. But you can use any of the coupon codes or deals here to save, whether it’s your first purchase or not. You can also sign up to Petstock Rewards and Woolworths Everyday Rewards to start earning points towards future discounts, savings and other benefits – it’s not as instant as a first order discount but it can make a difference for future purchases.

Does Petstock have a student discount?

At the moment, there’s no Petstock discount that’s specifically for students. But you can use any of the deals here to save – and we regularly update the deals so if a student offer does become available we’ll add it here.

Does Petstock price match?

Yes, Petstock’s Smart Price Guarantee means if you see a product for less at an Australian competitor, you can get it at the same price at Petstock. You’ll need to show proof (like a screenshot or web link), and it has to be the exact same brand, model, colour and quality. But what’s great is they offer price-matching both in-store and online. Check the Petstock website for full details.

Delivery and pick-up FAQs

Does Petstock have a free shipping?

Petstock offers free standard delivery for orders over $25 in major metropolitan areas. That’s one of the lowest thresholds for free shipping that I’ve come across, and could easily be met if you buy some pet food.

Petstock also offers free same-day delivery for orders over $135 in select locations and, again, you don’t need a coupon for it – you’ll see this option at the checkout when it’s available.

Can I click and collect at Petstock?

Yes! Petstock offers 15-minute click and collect with no minimum spend and no charge to pick it up. It’s great if you’ve just run out of food before meal time, or haven’t met the free shipping threshold.

How much is shipping with Petstock?

Petstock displays the cost of delivery at the checkout if you don’t qualify for free shipping.

As an example, delivery for a 20kg bag of Black Hawk dog food was $30.10 for addresses in Byron Bay, Coffs Harbour and Orange, while it was $16.16 in Wodonga. And it was free for some regional addresses including Lorne and the Mornington Peninsula in Victoria, and Caloundra on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland.

Does Woolworths own Petstock? The origin story of this Aussie brand

Woolworths Group has a 55% controlling stake in parent company Petstock Group, but the remaining 45% stake is still held by the Petstock’s founders, the Young family. In fact, co-founder Shane Young is Petstock Group’s CEO.
Petstock also operates independently of Woolworths, whose 55% stake was finalised in December 2023. When the deal was first announced, Shane Young said in a statement: “This is a unique opportunity to partner with Woolworths Group to continue to grow and strengthen the business we founded in Ballarat just over 30 years ago.”

So, the Petstock story actually starts in regional Victoria in 1991, when the Young Family bought Ballarat Produce. With their family values and a passion for pets, brothers David and Shane Young nurtured the business and the Petstock brand was officially born in 2002.

It’s now one of Australia’s biggest names in pet care, with over 140 stores offering everything from premium pet food to grooming, vet services and pet adoption resources. Then there’s the Petstock Foundation, which supports charities and rescue groups including Guide Dogs Australia, Assistance Dogs, Make-A-Wish Australia and MacKillop Family Services. It also hosts annual fundraising events like Petstock National Adoption Day and National Pet Adoption Month, which we spoke to ambassador and former Bachelor star Laura Byrne about earlier this year.

“The kids love having animals and I think it gives them such a good sense of responsibility as they help to take care of them… There are so many pets that need a loving home and I think there is a deep sense of appreciation and love that comes from adopting a rescue animal rather than “buying” an animal.”

Laura Byrne, National Pet Adoption Month Ambassador

Now backed by Woolworths Group’s majority stake, Petstock continues to compete with retail giants like Petbarn, Budget Pet Products and even Bunnings Warehouse, who leapt into the pet care category in 2023. But beyond the corporate politics, this can be good news for you and anyone else with a pet, because more competition usually means better deals. And we’ve got our eye on them for you.
