It’s easy to add a discount code at the checkout on Wonderbly, after personalising your books. Here’s a detailed step-by-step guide:
- Get a valid code: Woman’s Day tests every Wonderbly discount code before adding it here, so just click on one to copy the code and/or view offer details. To make it easy, a new window will also open and take you straight to the Wonderbly Australia website.
- Choose your book: Browse books for kids, new parents, friends, family and special occasions. When you’ve chosen your book, click ‘Personalise my book’ and you’ll go through some easy steps to customise the story for that someone special.
- Pick your finishes and add-ons: Wonderbly books typically have a choice of soft-cover and hard-cover options at different price points, as well as gift boxes and gift wrap. You can also choose not to have it wrapped if you want to save on that cost or wrap it yourself.
- Add your discount code: When you get to your order summary, enter the code in the discount code field, click ‘Apply’ and your order will be updated. You’ll see details of the discount in the subtotal and can go through to checkout from there.
Does Wonderbly have a coupon code for new customers?
Yes! Wonderbly offers $5 off your first order when you subscribe to the newsletter. I saw this in a pop-up box when I was writing this article, but you can also subscribe by scrolling to the footer of the website.
Another way to get a discount on your first order with Wonderbly is by asking a friend to refer you – both of you will get a $20 discount through Wonderbly’s referral program.
Is there a Wonderbly promo code for free shipping?
Wonderbly doesn’t currently offer free shipping in Australia, but using one of the tested codes or deals here means you can save on your order in other ways, which helps balance out delivery costs. The Woman’s Day team also regularly check for new promo codes and offers, so if there ever is a free shipping promo in Australia, you’ll find it here.
Does Wonderbly have a student discount?
At the moment, there’s no Wonderbly discount code for students in Australia. But during my research, I did find some overseas student discounts for Wonderbly, so it’s possible there may be a local offer for Aussie students in the future – I’ll add details here if that happens. In the meantime, you can still save with any of our tested Wonderbly coupon codes, and don’t need to verify your student status.
Can I add a Wonderbly discount code after placing my order?
Unfortunately, like most online stores, you need to add the discount code to your Wonderbly order before you pay. But if you forget to do it before going to the checkout, you can still add it before you pay by clicking on ‘Order summary’ and entering it in the discount code field that appears. More tips for adding your Wonderbly promo code
- Make sure the discount code is entered exactly as it’s written, including any capital or lowercase letters. Some codes are case-sensitive and won’t work if there’s a typo.
- Check that your order meets the code requirements. For example, a lot of Wonderbly codes offer big discounts when you’re buying more than one book. Others may have a minimum order value.
- Take note of the expiry date as codes often run for a limited time only. We’ve made this easier by removing codes when they expire, but it’s still good to keep in mind for any promo codes you come across in the wild.
- Make sure you’re on the Wonderbly Australia website. The brand has sites all over the world – I’ve ended up on both the US and UK websites accidentally before – but a code for the AU site may not work on one of the international sites. And even if it does, the shipping fees and currency conversions wouldn’t be ideal.

How much does delivery cost with Wonderbly?
Wonderbly delivery fees depend on your order and location, but based on my research they typically start around $15.99 for standard shipping and $20.99 for express shipping.
To give you an idea, I looked at shipping costs for a 34-page Hardback Jumbo kids book (this one) and was quoted $15.99 for standard delivery to addresses in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, Hobart, Perth, Wollongong and the Gold Coast.
The fees were the same when I changed the book to a softcover journal (the smallest size). But adding more books increases the cost: with two books the standard shipping quote was $20.99 and express shipping was $25.99, and with three it was $21.99 for standard shipping and $27.99 for express shipping.
How long does delivery take?
Wonderbly delivery typically takes around 1-2 weeks depending on the order and where it’s being delivered. When I checked, I was given an estimated time of 10 days for standard delivery, and 7 days for express delivery. You can check details when you’re placing your order, or use the calculator on the delivery info page.
My tip, after ordering with Wonderbly, is to try and order the book at least two weeks in advance so you can avoid the higher express shipping costs.
What is Wonderbly’s return policy?
Like most personalised presents and products, choose carefully before placing your order because Wonderbly only accepts returns when there’s a fault or issue with the delivery or production of the book (not typos made by customers). Is Wonderbly worth it? Here are my honest thoughts after ordering books from there
A personal touch can make all the difference when it comes to giving a gift, and as someone who loves books, Wonderbly’s range drew me in right away. The brand had actually been on my radar for quite a while before I finally decided to order a book from them.
So last Christmas, I jumped on the website, chose a fun book for my nephews (8 and 5 at the time) and personalised it for them. The whole process took me around 10-15 minutes (give or take a few mins of me poring over the book’s detailed illustrations and the actual story). I really appreciated the variety of personalisations – including different colours for the main characters, and the choice of binding with different price points.
In fact, one of the things that makes me want to shop with them again is the quality. The hardback jumbo edition I chose was solid enough to withstand some tossing around, and the paper quality and printing looked as good as any kids’ book you’d buy at a book store – except of course this one was personalised for my family.
The one drawback for my order was that I hadn’t realised how long it would take to deliver. So I panicked and paid more for express shipping, which I’d definitely try to avoid by planning ahead in the future.
