Make dinners easier with our exclusive HelloFresh discount code
With fresh, tasty meal kits that are easy to prepare, HelloFresh gives you a simple answer to the question “what’s for dinner”. I’ve found it handy for mixing up my usual repertoir of weeknight dinners (as the main cook in my household), and having the exact serving amounts makes it a lot easier than when I buy ingredients and then have to figure out how to use what’s left (because I hate wasting food). I also like that HelloFresh has an ever-changing menu – including the recent limited edition Korean-inspired K-Pop Dinner Hunters recipes developed in collaboration with Dami Im (more on that later).

Editor’s take: HelloFresh K-Pop Dinner Hunters limited edition meal kits

There’s no denying the hype around K-Pop, especially with mega stars BTS finally announcing another tour to Australia, and the viral levels of fandom around movie K-Pop Demon Hunters (which includes Princess Charlotte among its many fans). So it makes sense that HelloFresh also found inspiration in K-Pop, working with Korean-Australian star Dami Im on a limited edition recipe collection with the fun name ‘K-Pop Dinner Hunters’.
Available between April 18 and May 8, 2026, the recipes included some of Dami’s favourite (alongside trending takeaway and restaurant faves), including:
- Sizzling, Korean-Style Beef Bibimbap with Veggies & Rice
- Tofu, Kimchi & Veggie Bowl with Ginger Rice & Crispy Shallots
- Korean Braised Pork Belly & Rice with Pickled Cucumber & Sautéed Wombok
As a fan of Korean food and music – not to mention anything that makes weeknight cooking easier – I jumped at the chance to try some of these meal kits. A highlight for me was actually Korean-Style Chicken & Kimchi Aioli Tacos. These were easy to cook, and so delicious I’ve saved the recipe for future home-cooking.
I also found the ordering process easy, and the ingredients were all fresh. In fact, I would have enjoyed trying more of these meals, because Korean style recipes aren’t my usual go-to but they’re really yummy.
My key takeaways
I really enjoyed cooking these HelloFresh meals. Sometimes I find trying new recipes a bit of a risk when I’m buying everything myself, because I often end up with leftover ingredients I’d struggle to find other ways to use. But I’d make these recipes again.
In fact, I was so impressed, I reached out to Hannah Gilbert, Head of Culinary at HelloFresh Australia and New Zealand, to find out if there would be more limited-edition boxes in the future. She told me the response to K-Pop Dinner Hunters was really positive and showed Australians were “looking for new ways to explore soul-stirring flavours” for midweek meals.
“Limited-edition offerings are one of the many ways we can continue to keep the experience fresh and exciting and we’re open to exploring more opportunities like this in the future to satisfy Aussie hunger.”
Hannah Gilbert, Head of Culinary at HelloFresh Australia and New Zealand
So, while no new limited-edition HelloFresh boxes have been announced yet, I’m definitely going to be keeping my eyes out for them.
How much is three meals a week with HelloFresh?
The cost of three HelloFresh meals per week is $10-$12.50 per serve, depending on how many people you order for. Here’s a detailed breakdown, from lowest to highest cost per serve, and the total cost per order (excluding shipping):
- Six people: $10 per serve, or $180 per order
- Five people: $10.80 per serve, or $162 per order
- Four people: $10.83 per serve, or $130 per order
- Three people: $11.67 per serve, or $105 per order
- Two people: $12.50 per serve, or $75 per order
In other words, the more servings you order, the less each serve costs. HelloFresh also has details of the costs per serve for 2-6 people and 2-5 serves on the website if you want to check other people and serving costs.
When you have a HelloFresh discount code, you’ll also find details of the usual serving cost and how much you’re saving when you place your order.
What is the downside to HelloFresh?
This is another one of those questions where the answer could be different for everyone. But one big thing to keep in mind is any allergies, intolerances or specific dietary requirements. For example, if you follow a gluten free or vegan diet, you’ll have more limited selection of meals (but there are still HelloFresh recipes you could choose from).
Another factor is whether or not you actually cook the meals. Like all fresh ingredients, they have a shelf life – so if you don’t get around to cooking them during the week, it might be a waste.
But you can pause and cancel HelloFresh at any time. So if you’re curious, it’s probably worth trying – especially with a discount code to help you save.
Is HelloFresh worth it?
The value of HelloFresh depends on a lot of different factors, including how many people you’re cooking for, how much time you spend cooking, whether you’d get takeaway without it and even how often you end up throwing out stuff in the fridge (food waste is expensive!).
But to give you a bit more of an idea, here are some scenarios when you could get good value from HelloFresh:
- If you want to save time on cooking and grocery shopping
- If you don’t want to always have to decide what to cook
- If you’re in a rut with your meals
- If you’re new to cooking for yourself (or don’t have much confidence)
- If you usually resort to takeaway
- If you want to eat healthier without thinking about it too much
Sophie Monk also told us back in 2021 that HelloFresh helped her after the pandemic.
“Throughout corona, I had to start ordering Hello Fresh, because I was binge eating. I had to pull my head in. I started ordering that and making it and it’s so filling and healthy, but not super diet-y where you’re eating kale everyday,” she said.
“I’ve never been able to cook, but now I could legit enter MasterChef.”
One of my siblings actually introduced me to HelloFresh when we had a family dinner a couple of years ago and I really enjoyed it. We spent less time in the kitchen, the meal was tasty and I got to keep the recipe card – which means I can cook it again on my own.
