Over the high petrol prices? Here’s how a LEKKER Bike discount code could help
The fuel crisis has become a part of the national (and global) conversation, with everyone from Karl Stefanovic to your colleagues and neighbours talking about it. Even Edwina Bartholomew’s announcement about buying a cafe in Carcoar drew reactions that referenced it, with The Morning Show co-host Larry Edmur quipping: “This is so fantastic!!! Do you sell petrol?”
But jokes aside, the cost of petrol is taking a toll – CommBank data shows Australians spent 22.9% more on transport for the month of March. I’ve been looking at ways to cut down on driving to help manage it, and if you’re doing the same, an eBike is a great way to save on fuel without the need to break a sweat. Enter, LEKKER Bikes: a leading Australian brand with a beautiful range of Dutch-style eBikes and accessories.
They’re cheaper than an EV, can reach speeds of up to 25km per hour with the motor, and give you complete freedom to get from A to B without petrol or commuter crowds. Plus a following that includes Australian hockey player Nathan Ephraums, surf icon Ryan Callinan and influencer Jacquie Alexander. To help you get yourself a stylish (petrol-free) ride, the Woman’s Day Deals Team have an exclusive LEKKER Bikes discount code for $50 off when you spend $2000.
We draw on years of experience and a network of partners to source and secure codes and other valuable deals to help you save. We also test each LEKKER Bikes discount code ourselves, read the fine print, and remove expired offers so it’s easy for you to get the deals you want, when you want them.

“The great thing about this exclusive LEKKER Bikes discount code is that you can also use it during a sale – the T&Cs state there are “no usage limits and can be combined with product discounts”. I even tested it myself at the checkout to make sure.”

Five top tips to save with LEKKER Bikes
- Wait for a sale: LEKKER Bikes has deals during major sale events like Black Friday and Cyber Monday, as well as at other times through the year. For example, in April, they had an Earth Sale offering up to $600 off.
- Sign up to the newsletter: You’ll get the latest releases, promotions and news straight to your inbox – great if you’re waiting for a sale before buying your new eBike.
- Book a free test ride: LEKKER Bikes offers free test rides at the Melbourne Brand Store and at partner stores around Australia. This includes Sydney stores Glow Worm Electric Bikes (Marrickville) and Beaches Electric Bikes (Narrabeen), Newcastle’s Flash E-Bikes, Canberra’s Kingston Foreshore Cycles and NRG Cycles in Brisbane. Check the LEKKER Bikes page for current locations and bookings.
- Click and collect: LEKKER Bikes offers free click and collect from the Melbourne Brand Store and Evolution Bikes in Perth, which gives you a way to save on shipping. Other stores also offer click and collect with an assembly fee that ranges from $99 to $150, which still saves you on shipping and putting the final pieces of the bike together.
- Decide what accessories you actually need: LEKKER Bike has a great range of accessories, including baskets, baby seats and helmets. If there are essentials that you need, adding them to your order can help avoid paying shipping twice. But if you’re not sure how much you’ll use an accessory (or even ride), it might make more sense to wait until you’re in a routine with your riding. And if you’re like me and more used to a mountain/push bike, it’s worth noting LEKKER Bikes models are designed with built-in lights – so that’s one less thing to add to the order.
“We had the memorable experience of cycling around via electric bikes… Once you get the hang of it, you’ll never want to go back to normal bikes.”

LEKKER Bikes FAQs
No, LEKKER Bikes doesn’t currently have a free shipping discount code or offer. But if you’re in Melbourne, you can save on shipping with free click and collect from the brand store in North Melbourne.
At the moment, there’s no LEKKER Bikes discount that’s just for students – you can use our exclusive code whether you’re a student or not.
LEKKER Bikes have a two-year warranty on most components and accessories, including batteries, motors and other electrical or mechanical parts. There’s also a three-year warranty on the frame of your eBike, which covers defects in the materials and workmanship. But it’s worth noting tyres, chains, saddle coverings and other parts defined as “consumables” are not covered. So it’s worth checking the LEKKER Bike’s warranty page for full details.
LEKKER Bikes charges a flat rate of $25 for accessories across Australia, while the delivery rates for eBikes vary by state. Here are the eBike delivery costs as of April 2026:
NSW and ACT: $98
VIC: $78
QLD: $138
SA: $88
WA: $198
TAS: $218
NT: $248
LEKKER Bikes has a 14-day or 50km return policy, which gives you two weeks or up to 50km (whichever comes first) to try the bike before deciding if you want to return it for a refund. But keep in mind shipping costs are not refundable and additional return shipping fees may apply.
LEKKER Bikes has an average delivery time of 1-3 weeks and you get tracking details when your order leaves the warehouse. But some orders take longer if LEKKER Bikes is waiting for stock or it’s a peak time. For example, when I was looking at ordering the Gen 3 Jordaan GTS eBike in April 2026, the product page and checkout noted it would arrive in July. So it does depend on the eBike and other factors. If you have questions, you can contact LEKKER Bikes by calling 03 4828 3208 or emailing info.au@lekkerbikes.com.
How LEKKER Bikes proves the eBikes trend is here to stay
Cycling has long had a Euro-chic aesthetic, with even royalty cycling to events. But eBikes have brought it into the 21st century, and LEKKER Bikes has been a leader in this space. Founded in Australia in 2009 by Dutch expat and entrepreneur Meidert Wolfraad, the brand has quietly and steadily built a global following, with bases in Australia, Amsterdam and Germany.
The arrival of eBikes has also been a slow and steady gamechanger for commuters. They have more heft than a regular bike, without the promise of sweat at the end of the journey. I also have family friends who bought eBikes alongside their motorhome as a lightweight way to explore after setting up “camp”. Then there are the celebrities who’ve been spotted zipping around on eBikes, from Chris Hemworth and Miley Cyrus to Dave Hughes’ stint without a licence, and beloved Neighbours icon Ian Smith.
More recently, there’s been the added appeal of avoiding petrol prices – sales are expected to rise to around $1.3 billion this year according to the NRMA. And when the bikes are as beautifully designed as LEKKER’s, who wouldn’t want to swap the car for one?
