How to add a Kogan discount code

You can add a Kogan discount code to your order in a few seconds (I checked). Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to do it:

  1. Get a valid discount code: We test and verify every Kogan discount code and offer here, so you can just click on one to get the code and/or offer details. We’ll also open a new window to take you straight to the site.
  2. Shop on Kogan: Add everything you want to cart, and when you’re ready, click through to the checkout.
  3. Choose your checkout options: You can checkout as a guest, log in to your Kogan account or sign-up for Kogan FIRST to get member pricing and benefits.
  4. Add the code: Click on ‘Add Discount Code’ (before the order total), enter the code in the field that appears, then click ‘Add discount’ to update your order total. Editor’s Tip: the promo code box will only appear if item’s in your cart are eligible for code use. So, if you can’t find it, that’s why.

Here’s how it looks on mobile (it’s basically the same if you’re on a computer):

To add a Kogan discount code you need to expand the section titled 'Add Discount Code' at checkout, as highlighted here.
The Kogan discount code field expanded at checkout.

Does Kogan have a discount code for new customers?

Yes! New customers can get $5 off your first order over $100 with the Kogan app.

Can I use multiple discount codes on Kogan?

Unfortunately Kogan only allows you to use one discount code per order. In fact, you can’t edit the discount code box once you’ve successfully applied a code, so if you have a few make sure you choose the most valuable one. You can, however, pay with more than one gift card after they’re added to your Kogan account.

Does Kogan have a promo code for free shipping?

Kogan FIRST members get free shipping on thousands of qualifying products, making it the easiest way to save on shipping. You can sign up for a free 14-day trial, but after that Kogan FIRST membership is $129 per year, so you’ll get the biggest bang for your buck if you’re a regular shopper there.

What if I can’t find where to add a Kogan discount code?

The Kogan checkout only shows a discount code option when you’ve added items that are eligible for a code. If you’ve added items that aren’t eligible, there’s no option for it – I’ve come across this a few times.

If you’re having other issues with your Kogan discount code, here’s what else to check:

  • Is the code entered exactly as it’s written, including any capital letters?
  • Is there a minimum spend requirement for the code?
  • Does the code only apply for select products or categories?
  • Are you logged in? (Some codes are linked directly to your account).
  • Has the code expired?

The Woman’s Day Deals Team tests every Kogan discount code before adding it here and regularly update the offers, including removing codes when they expire. So you can check back here for valid, working discounts.

Does Kogan have a student discount?

Kogan doesn’t currently have a discount just for students, but in the past it has run promotions through Kogan Mobile. I’ve also seen sales on student essentials and the website actually has a back to uni page and a back to school page. So when there are student discounts, you’ll find them here.

How Woman’s Day chooses and tests Kogan discount codes and deals

It’s no secret we love a bargain (who doesn’t, really), and we want to make sure our Woman’s Day readers get great value when they’re shopping for new TVs, home appliances and everything else on Kogan. So we’ve taken a hands-on approach to bringing you the most valuable and relevant Kogan discount codes, promotions and offers. With our in-house Deals Team, we draw on an established network of partners, trusted sources and independent research to find and test active Kogan discount codes and offers. This includes testing each one at the checkout ourselves to make sure it works. We also read the terms and conditions so we can call out key details, take down expired offers and keep this guide up-to-date. So you get real, valuable deals that are ready for you to shop with now.

How you can save more with Kogan FIRST membership, and what to know before signing up

Kogan FIRST membership unlocks exclusive pricing, free shipping on a huge range of products, cashback through Kogan Rewards and plenty of other ways to save and get value. But ongoing membership costs $129 per year, with a free 14-day trial before that if you’re a new customer.

So is it worth it? Simply put, it depends on how often you plan to shop at Kogan and whether you’ll be able to use the benefits available to balance out the fee.

I know that’s not the most satisfying answer – I’ve spent years asking “is it worth it” for different products and services as a lifestyle and personal finance journalist – but what can help is taking a closer look at the benefits so you can decide if they’re realistically going to be worth your while.

So, here’s a breakdown of the key benefits, with some examples of the potential value you get as a Kogan FIRST member.

  • Member pricing: Kogan FIRST member pricing offers clear savings compared to what non-members pay, often discounting the price by around $10-$50 or so depending on the product. For example, I saw FIRST member prices offering $10 off the Kogan SmarterHome LX16 Pro Robot Vacuum Mop compared to non-members, $40 off the top-rated Kogan 529L Bottom Mount Fridge and $50 off the Kogan 55″ OLED 4K 120Hz Smart AI Google TV when I was writing this article. I also saw a $60 difference between the FIRST member and non-member price for this Kogan air fryer. For someone buying a few items with member pricing, these savings help justify the $129 member fee.
  • Free shipping: Kogan FIRST members get free shipping on eligible products, with details shown on each product page when it’s available. I mostly saw free shipping offers on smaller items, like the robot vacuum I mentioned previously, a bread maker and a stand mixer, with non-member shipping fees of $18.99 and $13.99. I didn’t see free shipping offered for larger items, so that’s worth keeping in mind. But Kogan FIRST members also get express shipping offers, and if you’re buying a few items that qualify for free shipping, the savings quickly add up.
  • Kogan Rewards: This Kogan FIRST exclusive rewards program earns between 1-2% back on eligible purchases, which you can redeem for discounts once your balance reaches $10. Put another way, you basically earn between $1 and $2 back for every $100 you spend on eligible products. So buying something like a fridge or TV could mean you get a $10 credit right after placing your order. Kogan also shows you how many reward credits you’ll earn before you even add an item to cart, which is handy.
  • Everyday discounts: Kogan offers 5% off a range of food and beverage products when you’re a Kogan FIRST member, including things like pasta, chocolate, coffee, soft drinks and alcohol. It’s not the first place I’d think to shop for these things, but the pantry and beverage section has good stock and a 5% saving can make a big difference to household grocery costs.
  • Other benefits: Kogan FIRST members also get priority access to major sales, exclusive promotions and giveaways, bonus Qantas Points offers and other limited time promotions. The value of these benefits is harder to estimate in dollars, but it’s still worth keeping in mind.

Editor’s quick take:

For frequent shoppers on Kogan, FIRST membership gives you plenty of opportunities to save and balance out the membership fee, while one-off and occasional shoppers might not get as much value.

What about the Kogan FIRST free trial?

Kogan’s 14-day trial of FIRST membership gives you access to member pricing and other benefits for free, which could be great if you’re making a purchase as a non-member and want to save. Or if you want first access to Black Friday or other major sales offers, for that matter.

Just keep in mind that you will be automatically billed after the trial if you don’t cancel it first (you need to add a card when you sign up).

I also saw a new member offer for up to $250 of vouchers when I was writing this article: a $10 voucher after you make your first purchase, then $20 vouchers sent out monthly. So you’d need to keep your membership for the full 12 months to get the maximum discount from this offer – but would still get a $10 discount during the free trial period.

More ways to save with Kogan

  • Limited-time deals: Kogan has a Hot Deals section where you can find discounts and promotions on select products. When I checked, there were deals on washing machines, split cycle air conditioners, coffee machines and more. I also spotted a Dyson V8 Cyclone Vacuum reduced to $299 (normally $649) because the box was damaged – and it even had a two year warranty and free shipping offer.
  • Sales: Kogan has sales throughout the year, but I’ve found some of the biggest savings and deals during major sales like Black Friday/Cyber Monday, Boxing Day and EOFY. For example, during the 2026 EOFY sales Kogan offered up to 70% off tech, home and fashion. And for Black Friday, Kogan was one of the few places you could get a discount on select Apple products – including 5% off a MacBook Air.
  • Kogan app: As well as the $5 discount for new app customers, Kogan offers app-only specials that give you another way to save.

“As well as competitive prices for Kogan’s own brand products, it’s often one of the first places I go when I’m looking for a discount on Apple, Dyson, Sony and other major brands – especially during the major sales or when there’s a discount code I can add to my order.”

Kogan FAQs: Delivery, returns and more

What are the delivery costs?

Kogan delivery fees vary based on your order, location and whether or not you’re a Kogan FIRST member. But to get an idea, here’s what I was quoted for the Kogan SmarterHome LX16 Pro Robot Vacuum Mop when looking at delivery to capital and major cities:

LocationStandard shippingExpress shipping
Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide$18.99$23.99
Melbourne, Geelong$12.99$17.99
Canberra, Hobart, Gold Coast$20.99$24.99
Perth$21.99$27.99
Darwin$31.99$49.99

Can I click and collect an order from Kogan?

No. Kogan only offers delivery services at the moment.

What is Kogan’s return policy?

Kogan offers a 14-day return policy if you change your mind and the product is unopened and in its original condition. This is available for select products sold by Kogan, and you’ll see details in the ‘Warranty and Returns’ section for each product. If you’re buying items from a Marketplace seller on Kogan, check with them directly.

For items that are damaged on delivery, faulty or when there’s another issue, contact Kogan through your account so they can help sort it for you. Kogan has a guarantee you’ll get what you ordered, and you also have rights under Australian Consumer Law.

Do Kogan appliances come with a warranty?

Yes, Kogan appliances come with warranties of at least one year. You also usually have the option of paying for an extended warranty of 3-5 years.

What is the $129 charge from Kogan?

Kogan FIRST membership has a $129 annual fee that’s automatically deducted after your free 14-day trial. As Kogan offers membership a few times at the checkout, this is the most likely charge specifically for $129. But if you think you’ve been charged incorrectly, contact Kogan through your account first, or consider contacting your bank if you want to dispute the transaction (a last resort, but handy to keep in mind).

How can I contact Kogan for help?

You need to log into your Kogan account and can contact the customer service team from there, as Kogan doesn’t have public customer service contact details available for people without an account. If you don’t have an account or have forgotten your password, you’ll be prompted to log in/create an account when you select ‘Contact Customer Care’ on the website.

I’ve researched and written about Kogan for years, here’s my take on shopping there

Kogan has a range of appliances and products that compete with other major brands in terms of performance, but often have lower prices. I’m particularly impressed with some of its fridges, washing machines, dryers and smart rings. It also stocks leading brands including Apple, Dyson, Samsung, Sony, LG – and even Hoka and Birkenstocks in footwear.

The difference between Kogan FIRST member prices and non-member prices is very clearly shown, although I have found the prominence of FIRST pricing a bit distracting before. Still, Kogan offers some great value products, sales and of course discount codes.
