How to add a Spotlight promo code
You can add a promo code to your Spotlight order at the checkout, before you pay (it can’t be added afterwards). Here’s a detailed step-by-step guide:
- Get a valid code: Click on any of the verified offers here to view the active code and/or offer details. The Deals Team at Woman’s Day test and regularly review these offers, so you’ll only see active codes.
- Shop on Spotlight: We’ll open a new window that takes you directly to the relevant section of the website, so you can just browse and add what you want to cart. When you’re ready, click through to the checkout.
- Log in (optional): If you’re a Spotlight VIP member, login to access discounted member pricing and other benefits. You can also create an account for free as you’re checking out, or continue as a guest.
- Add the code: At the checkout, click where it says ‘Promo Code’ to open the pop-up field, enter the code and click ‘Apply’ to update your order.

Why can’t I add my Spotlight promo code?
Some of the most common reasons include trying to add the code too early at the checkout, mistakes in the promo code field, being logged out and expired codes. The good news is that there are simple fixes for some of these issues. Here’s what to check:
- Can you see the ‘Promo Code’ option at checkout? Spotlight doesn’t allow you to add a promo code until you get to the payment section at the checkout. So add your contact and delivery details and follow the prompts until you get to the payment page. This is when you can add the code.
- Is the code exactly as it’s printed? Check that the code has all the same capitalisation of letters printed in the promo offer, or copy and paste the code again. This is a quick fix when the issue is a case-sensitive code.
- Are you logged in? Some Spotlight discounts are linked directly to your account and won’t apply unless you’re logged in. This includes $10 welcome discount and birthday discount, as well as member prices.
- Is the code active? While Woman’s Day only lists active, tested Spotlight codes and deals, if you’ve got a discount from elsewhere, it may be expired. Check the fine print, or contact Spotlight if you have questions about a specific code or discount.
I use this shopping hack to get a $5 discount at Spotlight – and you can too
It’s simple, really: Spotlight offers a $5 discount voucher when you shop online and choose to click and collect from a store. The discount can only be used in-store, and there’s a limit of one voucher per order, per day (so you can get vouchers if you place orders on separate days). But there’s no minimum spend to use it.
So, I usually browse the Spotlight website, add the main item I want to cart and then use the $5 click and collect voucher to get anything else I want in-store.

The EOFY 2026 sale at Spotlight is a good example of this, with 30% off a huge range of full-price products across the store. What are Spotlight’s delivery fees?
Spotlight offers free standard delivery on orders over $120, but if your order is less than that you’ll pay $12.99 for metro delivery, $15 for regional delivery and $20 for remote delivery.
Editor’s note: If you’re using a Spotlight promo code or discount on your order, check that the total is over $120 after the discount is applied so that you still get free shipping. Or choose click and collect to avoid fees on orders under $120.
Other types of delivery fees
If your order is made to measure, you’ll pay a fee of $30 for metro delivery, $35 for regional delivery and $40 for remote delivery.
There are also different fees for orders classified as ‘Bulky’, which range from $30-$80 depending on the order and location. Some orders also have ‘Supplier Direct Delivery’ (usually online-only products), which also vary. You’ll see details of the exact fees when you enter your address at the checkout.
What is Spotlight’s return policy?
Spotlight’s change-of-mind return policy means you can return most items for a refund within 28 days of the purchase date. The items need to be in their original condition, including original packaging, and you need to provide your receipt or proof of purchase.
There are also some exclusions under this policy, including:
- Clearance items
- Sewing machines and overlockers
- Made to measure and custom items
- Online only and supplier direct orders
