‘Dress for you’ with the Woman’s Day edit of Blue Illusion discount codes and deals
We’ve all been there: trying to find the perfect outfit to take from the office to social events, or even one that just feels comfy while also looking polished. Whatever the situation, beloved Australian fashion brand Blue Illusion has made a point of designing collections that fit beautifully and can be styled up or down. Then there’s the collaborations – including with Australian TV presenter Catriona Rowntree, businesswoman (and former Real Housewives of Melbourne) Chyka Keebaugh and the late design icon Iris Apfel.
So, if you need to refresh your wardrobe for the season (or want some trans-seasonal items), we’re here to help with an exclusive Blue Illusion discount code for our readers. With years of relevant experience and a network of partners and other trusted sources, the Woman’s Day Deals Team have not only secured this exclusive code, but also sourced a collection of other Blue Illusion codes and deals you can shop with on your terms. Every code is personally tested by the team on the Blue Illusion Australia website, and we read the terms and conditions to call out key details. So all you need to do is choose what you want.

“I have long had a friendship with Blue Illusion, firstly as a genuine customer (I went to Queensland with a suitcase of summer dresses, and it was freezing! There was a BI shop near my hotel, and it totally saved me, I still have the jackets!), then being asked many years back to chat to the staff about my Getaway travels, which led to a great friendship with [CEO] Donna.”

Six tips to save with Blue Illusion
- Sign to the newsletter: Blue Illusion offers a $25 gift voucher when you sign up to the newsletter, which is an easy way to save on full-price clothes, shoes and accessories (like new season items).
- Make the most of subscriber benefits: Once you sign up to the newsletter, you can create an account and access more subscriber benefits including a birthday surprise, seasonal gift vouchers, sale and offer previews, event invites and collection previews.
- Book a personal styling session: Blue Illusion stores offer 60-minute sessions with their stylists, which you can book online in advance. The stylist will take you through different clothes and outfit combinations based on your fashion goals and needs, which can be a great way to learn more about what suits you and what you want.
- Shop the sales: Blue Illusion has a sale and outlet section on the site, where you can find great discounts throughout the year. What’s the difference? You can typically return sale items within 30 days, while outlet/clearance items can’t be returned.
- Check David Jones: Blue Illusion is also sold at David Jones, which may have other promotions and discounts that help you save. Or the right size when it’s sold out directly.
- Recycle your old clothes: Blue Illusion has partnered with Upparel to make recycling old clothes easier. If you have 10kg of clothes to get rid of, you can have them collected for $35 and will get a $25 store credit for Blue Illusion. I’ve done this before and think it’s a great way to save on clearing out and updating your wardrobe.
Blue Illusion FAQs: Discounts, returns and more
Yes! Subscribing to Blue Illusion’s newsletter gives you a $25 discount code (they call it a gift voucher). When I signed up, it took about 10 minutes for the email to come through to my inbox, and there was a code I could copy to redeem at the checkout for a minimum purchase of $50. But it’s also worth keeping in mind this discount is only for full-price clothing, shoes and accessories.
There’s currently no Blue Illusion discount code for free shipping, but you may not need one. Blue Illusion offers free shipping in Australia for orders over $150. Last time I was a little shy of this amount, I browsed the Under $25 sale section and Gifts under $30 to find affordable and meaningful items to add to cart. But otherwise, standard shipping is $9.99, so you can decide what’s right for you.
Yes! Blue Illusion offers free click and collect from its boutiques. Just choose ‘Collect in Store’ at the checkout to view the available locations. Then when your order is ready, you’ll get an email to let you know.
If you change your mind about something from Blue Illusion, you can return it within 30 days of delivery as long as it’s in its original condition, with proof of purchase and isn’t an excluded item. Based on my research, this means most full-price and sale clothing qualify for change of mind returns. But outlet, clearance or final sale items don’t. Some other items are excluded for hygiene and practical reasons, such as swimwear, undergarments, earrings, altered products and beauty/skincare products.
Returns are easy to make online. But there is a $9.99 shipping fee that’s deducted from your refund. You can also return items in-store for a refund or exchange to avoid this fee. And it’s worth noting items bought in-store need to be returned in store.
Beyond this, you may be entitled to a refund, exchange or other solution if there’s an issue covered by Australian Consumer Law. If your order is damaged or not what you expected, for instance, contact Blue Illusion so they can help sort it out.
The Blue Illusion buys that have pleasantly surprised our Deals Editor
Blue Illusion is an Australian, family-run company with a long history of stylish and inclusive clothing and accessories. I also like how the brand has leaned into social media, with collaborations with influencers like Nat Angel (@letmetrybeforeyoubuy) and helpful ‘How to style’ videos on TikTok. (Plus some fun ‘style diaries’, like this one on how they’d style Meghan Markle). And as well as clothes, shoes and accessories, I’ve found some beautiful gifts in the homewares section – perfect for a bit of French style without needing to know someone else’s sizes.
