Your guide to Experience Oz promo codes and offers with Woman’s Day
Whether it’s school holidays, a long weekend or a getaway that doesn’t require double-digit hours on a plane, finding things to do that are closer to home can sometimes feel much harder than it would if you were traipsing through Europe or trekking across Asia. But Experience Oz makes it a lot easier, with tours, discounted attractions and other experiences you could have pretty much in your backyard, or as far as New Zealand. We’re also here to help, with an exclusive Experience Oz discount code to help you save on your next adventure, plus other codes and deals you can use right now – all tested and verified by our Deals Team.
We draw on years of experience in the e-commerce and editorial spaces, with a network of partners and trusted sources at our fingertips, and a thorough approach that includes testing each Explore Oz code on the website, reading the fine print and taking down expired offers. Because we want you to have the best experience right from the start.
How to use an Experience Oz discount code
- Get a valid code: Click on any deal here to get the verified promo code and/or offer details. When there’s a code, you can click to copy it (and if there’s no code listed, it means you don’t need one for the deal).
- Book your experience: We’ll open a new window that takes you straight to Experience Oz so you can choose your tour, attraction or other offer. Select ‘Book now’ to lock in your dates, or ‘Gift it’ to order without locking in dates, then click through to the checkout.
- Apply the code: After entering your name, email and other contact details, you’ll get to a line of text that says ‘Add promo code / gift voucher’. Click to reveal the promo code field, enter your code and confirm it by clicking ‘Apply’. Your order will update with the code – then you can go through the rest of the checkout process.

“Do you have a dad or partner who loves all things that go bump in the night? You can never go wrong with a ghost tour! The good news is [Experience Oz has] options available in many cities including Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide and Gold Coast.”

Top tips to save with Experience Oz
- Become a member: Join Experience Oz for free and you’ll get a $30 discount off your first experience of $199 or more, 10% off during your birthday month, entry into a monthly prize draw and exclusive deals and promo code offers straight to your inbox.
- Browse hot deals: Experience Oz has a hot deals section where you can find some great discounts. When I was looking, there was a limited time discount on a Taronga Zoo Entry and Ferry deal that was perfect for friends visiting from overseas. Plus 40% off a 5-in-1 Ultimate Sydney experience pass and 46% off a Hijinx Hotel Immersive Escape Room experience at Chadstone in Melbourne. If you’re looking for something to do at the last minute (or have left buying a gift a little late), this section is where I’d start.
- Swap your gift: If you choose the ‘Gift it’ option for an experience, you’re order will be issued as a gift voucher that’s valid for a 5-year period and can be exchanged for something else on Experience Oz. This gives you (or anyone you gift an experience to) the flexibility to choose what you really want.
- Collaborate as an influencer: If you have a solid social media following, blog or other platform, you could get a free experience in exchange for reviews, posts and mentions. Check out the Experience Oz website for more details.
Experience Oz FAQs
Here’s what to know when you’re booking with Experience Oz for the first time, or just want to know more.
Yes! Experience Oz offers a $30 discount on your first order over $199 when you become a member. Membership is free and fast to set up – just enter your email address, name and password to get started. But remember to add your date of birth once you have an account too, so you can get the 10% birthday discount during your birthday month.
Experience Oz offers student discounts through free platforms like UNiDAYS, Student Edge and Student Beans. Currently, students can save 10% on Experience Oz orders over $99 via UNiDAYS. And I found a previous promo with Student Edge for a $20 discount on orders over $199 (expired in March 2025).
To get any of these offers, you need to register with the student platform, verify your student status, and claim the offer before it expires. You can also use our exclusive promo code or any of the other deals verified by the Woman’s Day team and listed here.
Refund options are limited with Experience Oz. But if you need to cancel due to unexpected circumstances (i.e. cancelled flights, extreme weather, illness or bereavement), you can request a refund on the website. Just keep in mind that gift cards are non-refundable, but they are valid for a 5-year period from the date of the order and can be exchanged for another experience. If you have questions about a specific order, contact Experience Oz by calling 1300 935 532 or emailing info@experienceoz.com.au.
Experience Oz accepts Visa and Mastercard credit and debit cards, as well as Afterpay and Zip Pay. It’s also worth noting that your account statement may show the transaction as from ‘Big Red Group’ rather than ‘Experience Oz’ because that’s the parent company.
Woman’s Day Editor’s take on Experience Oz
As someone who loves a good experience, what I really appreciate about Experience Oz is that it’s very localised. The focus on Australia and New Zealand has made it easier to find relevant tours, packages and things to do when I’m planning a trip or want to shake things up on the weekend. I’ve also been really impressed with the offerings available during school holidays – having just spent two weeks with my nephews, I know how priceless it is to be able to find so many things to do in one place, especially when there are deals for budgets both big and small.
Let’s not forget other seasonal deals, either. Last year, Woman’s Day contributor Amber Bramble wrote a great article about things to do during Vivid in Sydney, which featured a huge range of Experience Oz offers available at the time. I’ll definitely be checking for new offers this year (and will keep Experience Oz in mind for future events and holidays like this, too).
