MomTok has never been short on drama, but the latest chapter in their Book of Scandals comes with broken relationships, a cancelled reality show and some very public fall-outs. The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives returns with five seriously loaded episodes, finally airing some of the biggest headlines surrounding the group.
The series follows Utah-based influencers Taylor Frankie Paul, Whitney Leavitt, Jen Affleck, Jessi Ngatikaura, Layla Taylor, Mayci Neeley, Mikayla Matthews and Miranda Hope as they juggle friendship, family, faith and the pressures of life in the public eye.
So why will season five be so juicy?
The season kicks off with Taylor returning after filming her now-cancelled season of The Bachelorette USA. The series was shelved after footage resurfaced of a 2023 domestic violence incident involving Taylor and her ex-boyfriend, Dakota Mortensen, prompting a police investigation. Production on SLOMW was also temporarily paused as the fall-out unfolded in the media, but cameras pick up again three months later to capture all the turmoil.
And now, viewers can finally hear Taylor’s side, including what happened after her Bachelorette journey came to a brutal end, and how she found herself back in the throes of the complicated relationship she had left behind.
But Taylor isn’t the only one with a story to tell. The collapse of Jessi’s marriage to Jordan Ngatikaura is explored, while her past affair with Vanderpump Villa star Marciano Brunette (her now boyfriend) continues to reverberate through her friendships and relationships.
Meanwhile, Whitney swaps MomTok for Broadway, taking on the iconic role of Roxie Hart in Chicago, while Mikayla’s friendship problems with Taylor, and Layla’s journey following her split and coming out as bisexual, add even more fuel to the drama.
With fractured friendships, broken marriages and a cancelled dating show, there’s really no excuse to not get caught up in all the chaos!
