Ellidy Pullin has some very happy news to share!
The 34-year-old took to Instagram to reveal she’s engaged to partner Brock Wadsworth, sharing photos of her sparkling new ring alongside snaps of the pair toasting with wine on the beach.
“HE WANTS TO BE STUCK WITH ME FOREVER 😭😭😭💍💍💍,” she captioned the post.
The comments section quickly filled with love from Ellidy’s famous friends. “Oh this is just the best. And that ring!! Wow 👏❤️❤️,” wrote Renee Bargh, while Brittany Hockley added, “So happy for you guys!!!! 😍😍😍❤️❤️❤️ congrats angel xx.” Actress Elsa Pataky was equally thrilled, commenting, “Yeah of course he does! You amazing!!”
Ellidy Pullin and Brock Wadsworth’s relationship
The engagement caps off what’s reportedly been a whirlwind and healing chapter for Ellidy, who tragically lost partner Alex “Chumpy” Pullin six years ago.
An insider close to Ellidy told Woman’s Day back in July that things had become serious between her and Brock.
“El is in a really good place right now,” the source shared. “She’s the happiest she’s been since losing Chumpy.”
The insider also spoke to Brock’s bond with Ellidy’s daughter, Minnie. “Brock has developed a great relationship with Minnie. That’s something El loves most about him,” the source said, noting that while no one could replace Chumpy, Brock had embraced being a positive father figure in her life.
It seems those closest to the couple saw the engagement coming, too. “Thos close reckon that if Brock were to propose, El would say year,” the insider added at the time. “She deserves her happy ending.”
How Brock won over Ellidy and daughter Minnie
Ellidy has previously opened up about how Brock came into her life when she wasn’t even looking for love. Speaking at the Love For Mum event in Sydney earlier this year, she admitted her focus had been solely on Minnie.
“My cup was pretty full anyway, because of my amazing village, I wasn’t seeking love and affection,” she revealed. “But [Brock] came along, and he and Minnie just clicked. She adores him.”
Ellidy also praised Brock for the way he’s embraced her. “He’s mature enough to take on me and all my… I say ‘baggage’, but you know, I’ve got a kid, a dog, and a past,” she said. “And he’s taken it all on. I feel so lucky.”
She revealed it was watching Brock’s bond with Minnie deepen that made her fall for him “tenfold” – including the way he keeps Chumpy’s memory alive for her daughter.
“Minnie will come in in the morning and say she had beautiful dreams, and he’ll ask, ‘Was your daddy in the dreams?’ He’s not afraid to face that part,” she said. “It takes a lot of maturity.”
