Trumpnation: Meet the new First Family

America's new first family has a truly modern tale.
The Trump Family

Donald Trump has officially been elected as the United States of America’s 45th President.

The newly hired Commander-in-Chief has been linked to countless models, married three of them and has fathered five kids.

Trump’s opponent Hillary Clinton has said the most positive thing about Donald are his kids.

“I respect his children. His children are incredibly able and devoted, and I think that says a lot about Donald.”

In 2017, the world will watch the 70-year-old relocate from Trump Towers and officially move into the White House…

But who is America’s newest first family?

Ivana mothered three of Donald’s kids.

Donald Trump Jr., 38

Donald Jr. is the eldest child from his dad’s 1977 marriage to Czech fashion model Ivana Zelníčková.

Many will recognise the University of Pennsylvania graduate from his role on The Apprentice, where he made numerous appearances as a guest judge and boardroom adviser.

These days, Donald keeps himself busy running his dad’s empire, Trump Organization, as the company’s executive vice president. But there are murmurs indicating that the businessman hopes to dip his toe into politics, with his eyes set on New York mayor.

Donald has also followed his dad’s footsteps outside the boardroom by marrying model Vanessa Haydon in 2005.

The couple have five kids Kai Madison, Donald III, Tristan Milos, Chloe Sophia and Spencer Frederick.

Ivanka is ready to be America’s first daughter.

Ivanka Trump, 35

The most iconic of the Trump clan, Ivanka is Donald’s beloved eldest daughter.

A regular fixture on The Apprentice, many will remember that in her teens, Ivanka was frequently snapped in glossy tabloids as one of New York’s shining socialites.

The pretty blonde, also a University of Pennsylvania graduate, made her foray into reality TV at the age of 22 on Born Rich.

Ivanka and Jared tied the knot in 2009.

One of her stand-out anecdotes has to be: “I remember once, my father and I were walking down 5th Avenue, and there was a homeless person sitting right outside of Trump Tower. I remember my father pointing to him and saying ‘That guy has $8 billion more than me.’ Because he was in such extreme debt at that point. It makes me all the more proud of my parents that they got through that.”

These days, Ivanka serves as an executive vice president to the Trump Organization alongside her two brothers.

The savvy 35-year-old has her own fashion label, an initiative for working women titled #WomenWhoWork, all while being the wife to Jared Kushner and mum to their three kids Arabella Rose, Joseph Frederick and Theodore James.

Always daddy’s little girl.

Eric with his wife Lara Yunaska.

Eric Trump, 32

Eric is Donald and Ivana’s youngest child together.

Just like his elder siblings, he was also a guest judge and boardroom adviser on The Apprentice and executive vice president of the Trump Organization.

Showing off his business panache, Eric founded the aptly named Trump Winery. He also has the Eric Trump Foundation, which raises money for terminally ill children at St. Jude’s Research Hospital.

Eric married personal trainer and producer Lara Yunaska back in 2014 and the couple are the proud parents to their dog Charlie.

Donald and Marla Maples just had one child together, Tiffany.

Tiffany Trump, 23

Tiffany Trump is the only child between Donald and second wife, actress Marla Maples. Tiffany, who is named after the iconic jewellery store, also graduated from the University of Pennsylvania, like big sister Ivanka and Donald Jr.

Despite being a university graduate, dad and now America’s President Elect, Donald Trump, isn’t too fussed about his youngest daughter.

The 70-year-old recently mused about his daughter, “But I’m very proud [of my kids], because Don and Eric and Ivanka and – you know, to a lesser extent cause she just got out of school, out of college – but, uh, Tiffany, who has also been so terrific. They work so hard.”

Don’t worry Donald, in Tiffany’s 22 years she’s already made her mark from being tertiary-educated, being Insta-famous, part-time modelling, interning at Vogue and her foray into the music with her single Like a Bird.

The pretty blonde takes after her mother.

Barron, 10, made headlines for fidgeting through his father’s acceptance speech for the Presidency.

Barron Trump, 10

Donald’s youngest and only child with third wife Melania is so much like his dad, he’s been affectionately dubbed “mini-Donald” by his family.

“He is a very strong-minded, very special, smart boy. He is independent and opinionated and knows exactly what he wants. Sometimes I call him little Donald. He is a mixture of us in looks, but his personality is why I call him Little Donald,” proud mum Melania admitted to Parenting.com.

According to proud mum Melania, her son is a “mini-Donald.”

Just like Donald, the ten-year-old loves wearing suits and joining his dad on the golf course at their Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida.

Ensuring his mother’s heritage also runs strong in his upbringing, the youngest Trump speaks fluent Slovenian.

Melania Trump, 46

Melania Trump has supported her husband’s crusade to the Whitehouse since day one and we’re about to start seeing a lot more of her!

The new First Lady of the United States of America, who is Donald’s third wife, was born in Slovenia in 1970 before moving to New York in 1996 to pursue a successful modelling career. The 46-year-old has modelled for the likes of Vanity Fair, Vogue, GQ and Sports Illustrated.

The stunning star is also an accomplished, bi-lingual businesswoman who speaks Slovenian, English, Serbian, French and German.

Donald and Melania first met in 1998.

Melania was 28 when she first met a then 52-year-old Donald at a Fashion Week party in New York in 1998. “We had a great connection, we had great chemistry, but I was not starstruck,” she has recalled of their fateful encounter. They tied the knot in 2005 at a lavish ceremony at Donald’s Palm Beach property.

Most recently, Melania made headlines when she plagiarised a speech from Michelle Obama. She also addressed Donald’s offensive comments, which were made in 2006 while she was pregnant with Barron.

Melania, pictured during her pregnancy with Barron, says she’ll be turning to Betty Ford or Jackie Kennedy for inspiration in her new role as The First Lady.

“The words my husband used are unacceptable and offensive to me. This does not represent the man that I know. He has the heart and mind of a leader. I hope people will accept his apology, as I have, and focus on the important issues facing our nation and the world,” she said of the leaked video.

As for what kind of First Lady Melania will be? “Very traditional like Betty Ford or Jackie Kennedy,” she says.
