The socialite speaks out for the first time about her party drug court case.

Brynne Edelsten has declared that she is innocent after her shock charge for possessing MDMA.

Speaking on Studio 10 today, the Melbourne-based socialite said, “I have been charged. And you know what, I am so angry about this.”

She was due to appear in Perth Magistrates Court yesterday, but her lawyer attended on her behalf.

Brynne, 32, who shot to fame for her ill-fated marriage to 72-year-old entrepreneur Geoffrey Edelsten, declared, “I’m so upset because there’s people who are really disappointed right now. I’m supposed to be a role model and I do not condone drugs.”

“I’m not allowed to say much, but I am absolutely fighting these charges, and will be vindicated,” she added.

Her case has been adjourned until July 27.
