Clear the calendar and put the bubbles on ice, because The Bachelor Australia is coming back on our screens and we’ve got a feeling you’re not going to want to miss a second of this season.

The very unlikely, but certainly lovable, Nick “The Honey Badger” Cummins’ will begin his search for ‘The One’ on Wednesday, August 15th at 7.30pm on Channel 10 and we’ll be there watching with glee from our couches.

“I’m really looking forward to throwing everything at this opportunity to finding the one,” the 30-year-old Rugby star said of landing the coveted reality TV role.

“The past 10 or so years has been on the road playing rugby or working on my projects, so I’m very excited to be part of a show that is centred around love and good times.”

The Honey Badger will surely shake things up on The Bachelor.

Network Ten announced that the popular dating show will kick off it’s sixth season in four weeks – and they’ve already given us a sneak peek, revealing the first two girls!

“Two of the glamorous Bachelorettes competing for Nick’s heart are 23-year-old Perth youth worker Brooke and former Miss World Finalist, Cass, also 23.

“Fun-loving, sporty and compassionate, Brooke is a proud indigenous woman who is looking for an aspirational partner that is loyal and nurturing. Much to her embarrassment, the self-confessed rugby lover fails to recognise the Australian international rugby star on her arrival.”

“Much like Nick, girly tomboy Cass is passionate about rugby, animals and catching waves on her surf board. Arriving at the mansion, Cass is shell-shocked to discover that this is not the first time she has met the Bachelor.”

Meet Brooke…

And Cass!

With his unique brand of humour Nick is bound to shake things up on the dating show. And while many fans of the show are losing their minds over the genius casting, some are not so sure he’s the right fit to don the Bachie tux.

“There have been some doubters,” the show’s host Osher Günsberg revealed to NW.

“But I am so excited for people to see the season and discover a new side of Nick that they never expected to see.”

“They think they know Nick Cummins but they are about to find out a whole lot more about him… He’s a wonderful man and it’s a real opportunity for him to show the kind loving man that he is.”

Brothers in arms! The show’s host Osher will be by Nick’s side as he searches for love.

As previous series of The Bachelor have shown, the first episode is often the most exciting, juicy and cringy of the lot.

This is where we meet not only our Bachelor, but the lovely ladies who will be living in the Bachelor Mansion and vying for our curly-haired suitor’s heart.

Politics enthusiast Alisha Aitken-Radburn is thought to be one of the ladies vying for Nick’s heart.

Network Ten have been fairly successful in keeping the identities of Nick’s beauties under lock and key. However, because of some very sneaky pap shots as well as some insider sources, we’ve been able to reveal another Bachie bird hoping to win Nick’s attention.

Former staffer of opposition leader Bill Shorten, Alisha Aitken-Radburn has been identified as another of the girls living in the lavish Bachelor Mansion.

As for the rest of the ladies, we’ll have to tune in on August 15th, to find out!
