With drama heating up on and off screen for The Block, and Lisa and Rosco are ready to set the record straight on rumoured feuds, behind-the-scenes drama, and the stereotype of ‘the pregnancy card’.
The WA couple spoke to Woman’s Day about their journey on the show so far, saying watching themselves back has felt surreal, but that the the show has cast an accurate reflection of the participants.
“I think it’s definitely quite an accurate reflection of how we are, how we think, and how we interpreted our fellow contestants,” Lisa shared, with Rosco chiming in, “Overall, it’s very accurate as to what happened.”
With both Adam and Jolene and Lisa and Rosco telling Woman’s Day the cast have been communicating in a group chat as the episodes air, it appears there may be one couple not invited.
So is there a feud playing out off-screen? Here’s what we know.
Lisa and Rosco on getting ‘in trouble’ with Wyatt and Chantel

“God I don’t want to get in trouble again,” Lisa said, revealing she received ‘aggressive’ DMs from Chantel after one public media comment.
After stating publicly that the Cursio Brothers project managed Wyatt and Chantel’s whole build, Lisa received a DM telling her to “shut the f*** up”.
“I’m probably going to get scunted later. But yeah, they’re not my favourite,” Rosco said.
When asked by Woman’s Day if there were any behind-the-scenes issues with Wyatt and Chantel that didn’t make it to camera, Rosco said the couple often didn’t hang out in the sharehouse and prioritised going to the gym.

“I definitely witnessed occasions where he was very moody or quite rude to the crew,” Lisa added. “If you watch any of the interviews I did prior to, and they asked me who would the villains would be, I always said Chantel and Wyatt.”
Lisa shuts down rumours she didn’t know she was pregnant before going on The Block

With Lisa and Rosco finding out they were expecting their second baby just weeks into filming the show, fans have speculated they knew prior to going on and hid it from the cameras, something the couple laughed off.
“I haven’t seen those comments, but people can think what they want. I had my first scan at 10 weeks and six days on camera—I would never purposefully miss a crucial medical scan for a TV show,” Lisa said. “Even if someone was knowingly pregnant, pregnancy isn’t an illness that excludes you from participating!”
In fact, the couple shared they only had nine days from getting the call they’d be on The Block to arriving on set.
“People judging us for missing our child [their first son, Lando] miss the point,” Lisa added. “We only had nine days’ notice before coming on the show to sort daycare, leave our jobs, and get medicals done. Having a private conversation in the car at the end of the day about missing our son doesn’t mean we regret being on the show – both feelings can exist at the same time.”
And Lisa also wasn’t impressed by others joking that her Freedom challenge win was because she was “helped out” due to her pregnancy.
“Setting the record straight: we had to design a living room using items from Freedom. I stood at my post and delegated. I told the helpers exactly which brown rug and nesting tables to grab from specific corners of the store. Everyone else ran around like headless chickens without a plan,” she said.
“It devalues my effort to attribute the win just to being pregnant. I never asked for concessions or played the pregnancy card – we also won the tennis challenge and the first rapid styling challenge while pregnant!”
