While he says he is happy for his 16-year-old son Brooklyn to start dating, David Beckham says that when his daughter Harper is old enough for boyfriends, he wont be letting her out of his sight.
Talking to Entertainment tonight, Beckham said that Brooklyn is definitely at an age where dating is appropriate, as long as there are strict guidelines in place.
‘We’re strong parents, and strict parents, but we’re like most parents. We love our kids and we want the best for them, so we’ll see,” he said.
However, when asked if the rules will be the same for Harper (who is currently four) he laughed: ‘Oh yeah. That’ll definitely be different!’
In the past, Beckham has joked that Harper wont ever be allowed to go out; “She’s going to be like Rapunzel – up in the tower.”
In the past, Beckham has talked about how raising a daughter has been a very new experience for him.
He told the Sun: ‘To have a daughter is a whole different story. I’m not saying I love my daughter more, but the boys are independent.’
