When Wyatt assumes Adam has stolen one of his power tools, the confrontation escalates quickly, with Wyatt threatening Adam to: “Stop talking sh*t, or we’ll sort it out.”
“It was confronting,” cattle station manager Adam, 48, tells TV WEEK. “He’s got his wires crossed because I didn’t take it. His tiler may have left it somewhere very convenient for my plumber to get without telling Wyatt.”
While the confrontation is certainly uncomfortable to watch back, Adam is quick to give Wyatt some grace, stressing just how much pressure the contestants are under while building their houses.
“It’s hard when everyone’s tired and people overreact,” Adam says. “We learn to take a breath and go: ‘That was on the show, that was under pressure and in the heat of the moment.’ But I hope he regrets doing it.”
But, with tensions between the contestants continuing to boil over, will Wyatt regret his poor behaviour and apologise to Adam, or will the pair be left with unfinished business poisoning the air on site?
The Block airs Monday to Wednesday at 7.30pm and Sunday at 7pm on the Nine Network and 9Now.
