Former Big Brother star Tully Smyth has shocked fans by voluntarily moving in with her COVID-positive boyfriend Daniel Parasi.

The breakout star of BB‘s 2013 season candidly revealed her decision to hunker down with Daniel at his house and most likely expose herself to the virus.

“After much anxiety and deliberation (I literally called 3 people to ask their opinion) I’ve decided to pack my stuff and move in for the week to hopefully catch it sooner rather than later,” she wrote.

Tully moved in with her boyfriend Daniel Parasi to protect her housemate.

“By coming here and isolating, I’m less likely to give it to my housemate. Appreciate there is a chance I isolate and still don’t get it however a) I’d rather take my luck and both of us have it at the same time than get it later and put us back into iso for another week, missing weddings etc and b) be here to look after him.”

Tully, who is double vaccinated, admitted she isn’t sure her decision is the “right way to play it” but acknowledged “it’s a weird time and we’re all just doing what we think is best.”

The reality star stopped by Hungry Jacks for a “pit stop” on her way to Daniel’s place, and in a video showing her packed suitcase she wrote: “we’re in this together”.

Tully was with Daniel on Wednesday morning and kissed him goodbye, before he returned a positive test on Thursday.

“I do not in the slightest think it’s ‘cool’ to get Covid. In fact I’m very anxious about it. Like everyone else, I’ve spent the last 2+ years doing everything in my power trying to avoid it,” she said.

“However unfortunately, my partner was already positive so it’s not looking good for me.”

“Chances are I already have it and by coming here and isolating, I’m less likely to give it to my housemate.”

After receiving comments from shocked followers about her decision, Tully wrote: “I am MORE than capable of being away from him for 7 days. We’re very independent people who like our alone time.”

The 33-year-old explained that Daniel had a sore throat and a slight fever late Wednesday night, but woke up this morning “feeling like a train had hit him – body aches, headaches etc.”
