Prince Harry could be preparing to make his next big media move now that he is back in the UK, with a podcast potentially becoming his latest platform for telling his side of the story.
“Harry loves the podcast format – he follows several podcasters and, yes, he has seen Mike’s [Tindall] and how it helped make William and Kate seem so much more personable,” a source tells Woman’s Day.
“He’s disappointed Meghan’s podcast [Archetypes] failed, but he’s starting to assert himself more in that marriage – it’s why they’re back in the UK – so it wouldn’t shock anyone if he’s plotting his own podcast.”
Inside Harry’s media aspirations

For Harry, there could also be a very practical reason to pursue the format.
“As so blatantly pointed out in the King’s letter, Harry and Meghan still have their commercial interests, so making himself available to the podcast and radio circuit makes sense,” the source continues.
But the bigger project appears to be centred around Harry’s mother, Princess Diana.
“The big focus for him and Meghan is the Diana documentary and already he’s reached out to several old friends of his mum to get involved,” the source adds. “A Diana audiotape series to be released in partnership with promoting the documentary is also being whispered about.”
William ‘disjointed’ over Diana documentary

And despite the apparent lack of enthusiasm from the Royal Family, Harry is reportedly still pushing for access to material that could strengthen the project.
“While the King’s letter was fairly abrupt and to the point, Harry’s not giving up on Charles giving him access to some of the Royal archives.”
That could leave William watching nervously from the sidelines.
“William has been somewhat able to breathe since his father restated the 2020 settlement in writing, but he’s still disjointed over this Diana project,” the source says.
The problem for William is that there is little he can actually do to prevent Harry from going ahead.
“He never comments on Harry’s media work, nor can he legally stop him from recording a podcast or documentary,” the source says. “All he can do is refuse co-operation, refuse archive access and keep the Royal Family at arm’s length, which is already the official line.”
