Farmer Wants A Wife is returning to our TV screens in 2022 and we’ve already got a peek at the new cast of farmers appearing on the show.

In a huge first for Seven’s iteration of the series, there will be one female farmer in the lineup looking to meet the man of her dreams, Paige.

We saw our first look at her at the start of August when Seven officially dropped their first look trailer, featuring a lovely shot of Paige in a cool and unconventional wedding dress, paired with some stunning white cowgirl boots.

We also met Farmers Ben, Will, Harry, and Benjamin in the trailer, who are ready to meet ‘the one’ in this experience.

Host Natalie Gruzlewski will be back for the 2022 season, along with new addition Samantha Armytage, who will have a special guest role. Both stars made an appearance in the trailer.

“I fell in love with a farmer myself,” Sam reveals, referring to her husband Richard Lavender. “So, I can’t wait to help them find the one!”

So who are the farmers, what are they looking for and what does this new season have in store for fans? Keep reading to find out.

Farmer Ben, 27, from Wingham, NSW

Farmer Ben, who’s a dad-of-one already, is looking for someone who loves kids.

(Channel 7)

Ben and his young daughter come as a package. He describes her as “three going on 18”.

“There’s some sass there,” he admits.

The 27-year-old from Wingham in NSW was left heartbroken when his last relationship ended and, not wanting to get hurt again, steered clear of the dating scene for a long time.

“But there’s a time where you’ve got to let down your walls again and open your heart back up to love,” he says.

Will Ben find love with another single parent and end up with a brother or sister for his daughter – as well as a wife for himself?

Farmer Benjamin, 33, from Guyra, NSW

This bearded farmer admits he’s a little weird and wants someone who’s settled and comfortable with herself.

(Channel 7)

Last year, Benjamin went viral when he got his sheep to form a heart shape to pay tribute to his late aunt.

There’s plenty more creativity where that came from. The 33-year-old fifth-generation farmer from Guyra in NSW also has a degree in drama and does a bit of DJing.

“I’m looking for someone who can match this weirdness,” the 33-year-old says.

There’s plenty of creativity among Benjamin’s potential brides too: one is a music teacher, while another one gets him up and dancing during the speed dates.

Will one of them turn out to be a perfect pick? Can anyone match his “weirdness”?

Farmer Harry, 23, from Kyabram, VIC

At 23, Farmer James is the series’ youngest farmer.

(Channel 7)

Harry is “a bit of a catch” – at least, that’s what his mum thinks! At just 23, this season’s youngest farmer loves feeding the calves on his farm at Kyabram in Victoria.

“It’s probably the only time I get 20-odd chicks running at me all at once,” he quips.

A big fan of McLeod’s Daughters, Harry thinks a bathtub under a windmill, like the one Tess McLeod had in the show, would be an ideal place for a date.

o when he comes face-to-face with a girl called Tess at the speed dates, will it be the start of a beautiful love story?

Farmer Paige, 27, from Cassilis, NSW

Farmer Paige is the first female farmer to star on the series.

(Channel 7)

Paige grew up in Brisbane, but is now a stationhand on a 5000-hectare property at Cassilis in NSW. She says she was drawn to the land because of “the openness, the space”.

“I found myself there,” the 27-year-old explains, adding that she sees her future in farming and wants to find someone to share her life on the land.

While some of her potential suitors have rural backgrounds, others are real city slickers, with one of them admitting he’d be more likely to bet on the horses than throw a leg over one.

Will Paige find someone who loves her – and the farming life too?

Farmer Will, 26, from Berriwillock, VIC

Crop and sheep farmer Will describes himself as “upbeat and positive”.

(Channel 7)

A fourth-generation farmer from Berriwillock in Victoria, Will says he’s from a “really close” family. He has three older sisters and is a devoted uncle.

“It’s just probably missing one thing – someone to share my life with, share that happiness with and become part of my farming family,” he says.

The 26-year-old’s good looks have hearts fluttering, with one girl describing him as “a Justin Bieber lookalike, if not better”.

Will is impressed with his potential wives too and, at the speed dates, admits one of them leaves him shaking, with “sweaty palms”. Could he be falling for someone already?
