A very important investigation into Locky Gilbert’s many tattoos, and exactly what they mean

There's a fair few to cover off here.

To the naked eye, Locky Gilbert is tall, dark, handsome… and very tatted up.

Yep, it doesn’t take a genius to notice that the 2020 Bachelor is a fan of his tattoos, but the 30-year-old hunk confessed that there was one design in particular that he’d never consider.

In a game of Would You Rather with WHO, our Bachelor Locky was asked if he’d rather bungee jump multiple times in a row or get his partner’s name tattooed on him.

“It would be bungee jump,” the 30-year-old confessed adding, “I mean it’s a sign of breaking up if you get a name tattooed on you.”

So whilst it would be a hard no to getting his partner’s name permanently attached to his skin, Locky has had numerous tattoos inked onto his remarkably chiselled body.

If you’re as curious as we are, we’ve put together a handy guide to all of Locky’s unique designs – at least, the ones that he’s willing to show on camera!

Inked up to the nines!

Perhaps the most obvious of Locky’s tattoos is the one across his collarbones that reads “Strength & Honour” in cursive script.

There’s also an outline of a world map across his rib – most likely a nod to his love of travel and exploration.

However, he’s also a proud Aussie and has a map of his home country on his back left shoulder, along with a Southern Cross tattoo.

If you look closely at his biceps (which we’ll admit we’ve done on numerous occasions), he also has a royal flush row of cards inked on one whilst the opposite features a cursive design that reads “You Only Live Once.”

Fans may have also noticed the intricate tattoo on his neck which Locky admitted is a meaningful quote that “is there for people to read.”

Whilst chatting to Dave Hughes and Ed Kavalee on their radio show, the 30-year-old said that the small print is a Muhammad Ali quote: “He who is not courageous enough to take risks will accomplish nothing in life.”

It certainly reflects his love of adventure – and there’s no bigger risk than putting your heart on the line on national television.

During the photo shoot date, we were able to get a closer look at Locky’s neck tattoo.

Yep, there’s a leg one too!

It’s not just his neck, torso and arms that have tattoos etched onto them.

In fact, Locky’s tattoos even go down to his leg and he has an intricate design on his lower leg that goes from his knee down his calf muscle.

However, fans of the show are less than impressed with his ink work and have dragged the Bachelor through the mud on social media.

“I can’t afford to be picky, but if he chose me I’d make him laser off some of those tattoos and change his name from Locklan to Lachlan.” one person penned on Twitter.

“A group date where Locky removes all of his s*** tattoos please,” wrote another.

Let’s hope one lucky lady sees past the questionable designs.
