2020 has been quite the year, but finally there’s a silver lining – the return of the nation’s favourite show!

The Bachelor Australia is due to hit to our screens in a matter of weeks, with Channel 10 announcing the show’s upcoming premiere date.

That’s right, Locky Gilbert‘s quest for love begins on Wednesday August 12 at 7:30pm on Channel 10.

This season of The Bachelor is set to be the most ground-breaking one yet.

After production of the show was forced to come to a screeching halt due to the COVID-19 pandemic, season eight of the dating show is going to look a little different this year.

Thankfully, as restrictions lifted, the show was managed to be salvaged.

But just like the rest of the world, The Bachelor has had to pivot and adapt to these strange new times.

Which means saying goodbye to pashing multiple women and embracing Zoom dates and social distancing – welcome to The Bachelor in the time of COVID-19!

Brunette beauty Bella instantly takes Locky’s breath away and is already considered a front-runner.

Despite the disruptions to filming, Locky is determined to find The One.

“Being in love is the best feeling in the world, it takes your breath away,” the 30-year-old says in the first trailer.

“I’m here to find love. I would love to get down on one knee at the end. I’m the kind of guy that would do it,” he teases of a possible grand finale proposal.

So far, we’ve been introduced to the first four women vying for Locky’s heart – Bella, Steph, Rosemary and Irena.

Bring on August 12th!
