Khloe Kardashian’s personal trainer shares his tips to a better bum

Gunnar Peterson knows his stuff.

He’s the man who Khloé Kardashian credits with helping her achieve that amazing revenge bod. But Gunnar Peterson believes there’s only one person who can make the decision to get into shape.

“I’ve known Khloé and worked with her for many years and I never said to her that she should come down to my gym, never,” he tells OK!. Instead, the LA based

trainer says the decision has to come from within. “Over time something clicks.”

Booty Basics

Gunnar’s toned some of the best buns in the biz, with clients like Jennifer Lopez, Sofía Vergara – and, of course, Khloé and her big sister Kim! He recommends a combination of exercises to target the glute area. ‘”The glutes are a complex muscle [group], so I would say heavy squats, multidirectional lunges, deadlifts and plyometric jumps, if your body can take it,” Gunnar explains to OK!.

Another favourite is sled pushing, where clients push a heavy set of weights across the room.

Boost your protein

“I’m big on protein and not huge on dairy and gluten,” advises Gunnar. It’s also important to keep an eye on liquid calories. “You’ve got to watch your alcohol intake,” he adds. “People are going to drink, but you have to realise that it’s a carbohydrate.” One thing we should all be drinking plenty of, however, is water. “Hydration is key,” the Revenge Body star adds.

Be patient

It took two and a half years for Khloé to hit her 18kg weight loss target. “Depending on her schedule, she was in anywhere from two to six times a week,” Gunnar tells OK!. “She really pushed it.” But the results were more than worthwhile. “There’s a confidence that she exudes,” he adds. “She knows what she is capable of.”
