Hosted by the very cheeky Sandra Oh and Andy Samberg, the 76th Annual Golden Globes are set to be an incredibly fun and frivolous occasion.

But before the awkward jokes, the drunken gaffs and the coveted gold awards are handed out, Hollywood’s A-List have frocked up and are walking the red carpet.

Flying the flag for Australia in this year’s nominations will be home ground favourites, Nicole Kidman and Yvonne Strahovski.

Nicole earned a nod for her performance in Destroyer, where she’ll go head to head with Lady Gaga, Melissa McCarthy, Glenn Close and Rosamund Pike for the Best Actress award.

Fellow Aussie Joel Edgerton, also missed out on any nominations for Boy Erased, the coming of age film which he also directed.

Yvonne Strahovski received a nomination in the Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role in a Series, Limited Series or Motion Picture Made for Television category for her role in The Handmaid’s Tale.

Surprisingly, Margot Robbie and Saoirse Ronan’s much anticipated Mary Queen of Scots failed to score a nomination.

Last year’s red carpet was given a powerful overhaul, with stars wearing black in honour of the #TimesUp campaign which makes a stand against sexual assault and harassment in the wake of the Harvey Weinstein scandal.

In a break from tradition, E! News asked the stars “who are you wearing” and instead asking “why are you wearing black?”

However, this year, the stars are wearing either a white or black “TimesUpx2” bracelet to support the campaign.

In a distinct contrast to last years palette, the stars have opted for white and bold.

Behold, the 2019 76th Annual Golden Globe Awards red carpet fashion!
