What is the plot of Bridgerton season three?

To conclude season two, the perfect enemies-to-lovers trope with Anthony Bridgerton and Kate Sharma came to a blissful end with the pair finally admitted their love and getting married. Penelope Featherington and Eloise Bridgerton had a friendship falling out when Eloise found out that her best friend was Lady Whistledown. Meanwhile, Penelope was left heartbroken when she overheard Colin Bridgerton saying that he would never court her.

But was he telling the truth? No, he wasn’t because season three follows the friends-to-lovers storyline between Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan) and Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newton).

In the beginning, Penelope had given up on her affection towards Colin and makes it her mission to find a husband to live away from her mother and sisters. But as a woman in her third season, it proves to be a difficult task when Colin offers his guidance.

While trying to help his friend, Colin discovers feelings of jealousy – cue pining! Not to spoil part one, but it ends in a steamy encounter. But Colin and Penelope’s love story is not set in stone yet, as Eloise know of her ex-friends secret identity and isn’t afraid to expose her…

This love story could come crashing down faster than the carriage scene.
