Nick Daicos capped off a stellar 2026 AFL season by taking home the game’s most prestigious individual honour: the Charles Brownlow Trophy – aka the Brownlow Medal.
But it was his heartfelt tribute to long-term partner Arlette Amor during his acceptance speech that really stood out.
Who is Nick Daicos’ partner, Arlette Amor?
While specifics about her job remain limited, it’s believed Arlette graduated with a Bachelor of Psychology and now works in healthcare. She has also been involved in modelling and maintains a presence on social media.
While the couple have kept much of their relationship out of the spotlight, it’s believed the pair actually met at school in Victoria, and it looks like they’ve been together ever since – with reports suggesting they’ve been a couple since at least 2022.
Since then, Arlette has become a familiar face on the sidelines, regularly spotted supporting Nick at matches and events, and the pair have travelled the world together.

Taking to the stage after his Brownlow win, Nick made sure Arlette was the first person he thanked.
“I want to start with my partner, Arlette,” he said. “I’m so grateful to have you in my corner… Our bond is so close and I think you offer me such a great perspective with what you do with work every single day and also uni studies. You make me realise what really matters in the world. I have a tough day and pretty quickly come home and I’m quite levelled out because what you do, you have such a great impact and I’m so lucky to have you in my corner.”
He went on to thank his family, including parents Peter and Colleen, and siblings Josh and Maddie. “I can’t wait to share this night with you. I’m not here without you and I’m so grateful for all your support,” he said, before turning to older brother and Collingwood teammate Josh: “I couldn’t have asked for a better role model since I’ve entered the club, mate. You’re my brother, one of my best mates.”
A footy family through and through
Sport runs deep in the Daicos bloodline. Nick’s dad is Collingwood legend Peter Daicos, who also appeared on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! Australia in 2024, while mum Colleen has watched both sons – Nick and Josh – make their mark at the Magpies. Sister Maddie rounds out the family, aged 33.
Speaking to The Age in 2022 about raising two AFL stars, Peter reflected on the family’s love of the game: “They were always up for a kick. Even during the pre-season this year, they’d come home from Collingwood after a whole day, have a quick bite to eat, and then go off to the park.”
