This morning, Queen Rania of Jordan wore a pale pink jumpsuit with a striking silhouette to meet Donald and Melania Trump at the White House. While the Jordanian monarch is well known for pops of pink in her wardrobe, she isn't the only the only royal family member to embrace the shade.

Pink has had a renaissance recently—'millennial pink' has become the shade du jour for trend pieces—but it's been a favourite of monarchies across the globe for decades.

Queen Elizabeth II has sported it time and time again over her 66 years on the throne and Duchess Catherine dons coats and dresses in everything from fuchsia to pale pink.
