The centre for reproductive rights in the US have unveiled a new video on abortion access using real abortion stories performed by seven actresses.
In the video, Elizabeth Banks, Dascha Polanco, Bellamy Young, Amy Brenneman, Mercedes Mason, Mary McCormack, and Retta give voice to the struggles and triumphs of the American women who submitted their stories.
Directed by Betty Thomas, the national “draw the line” campaign encourages people to share their own stories and sign a petition.
Nancy Northup, president and CEO of the Center for Reproductive Rights told the New York Magazine that one in three women in the U.S. will have an abortion at some point in her lifetime.
“We need to make it clear to politicians exactly what’s at stake when they attack our reproductive freedom and fundamental rights,” she says.
