A man has been arrested after he went to an adult venue in Sydney at the weekend and allegedly switched lubricant with acid.
According to police, the 62-year-old was detained after he supposedly tried to secretly fill a lubricant dispenser with hydrochloric acid but was caught when a tampering alarm attached to the dispenser went off.
The venue, located in Sydney’s north-west, has been targeted before by similar incidents.
The man has been charged with administering a poison with intent to injure or cause distress or pain, entering a building with intent, malicious damage and driving while suspended.
He was granted conditional bail and is due to appear in the Parramatta Local Court on September 20.
