Lara Worthington (née Bingle) rarely discusses her personal life with husband Sam Worthington, but as she covers the August issue of ELLE Australia, the mother-of-two is holding nothing back.

In a candid new interview for the fashion bible, the Australian beauty opens up about how her life changed upon meeting the Avator actor, and the extravagant gift he presented the mother-of-two on her 30th birthday.

“Meeting Sam is when things really changed for me. Until then, I never really trusted anyone entirely,” the Cronulla-born babe tells the publication.

“When I was younger, I think maybe I’d try to impress a person by adapting to their ways, but with Sam, from the get-go, I was just myself. I wasn’t trying to be anyone else and I think that’s the basis for a strong relationship.”

The couple tied the knot in 2014.

Opening up on her previous years as a reality TV star, the fashion icon went on: “Sam is present. Sam’s different in that he doesn’t use social media, it’s just not where he spends his time. If he’s on the internet, he’s not looking at other people’s lives.

“When I first met him, I was nervous and I’d be like, ‘Don’t read anything, you might get pulled away,’ because there was a lot of crap. And he was like, ‘I don’t even know what you’re talking about.’”

The mother of Rocket, two, and Racer, whom the couple welcomed in October, celebrated her milestone birthday on June 22. For the special occasion, Sam conspired with his wife’s mum to ensure Lara a birthday she’d never forget.

“I spent my recent 30th birthday at the Blue Lagoon in Iceland. It was a surprise trip—Sam had arranged for my mum to look after the kids.”

But the festivities didn’t end there… “From there we did four cities in four days, going to four concerts. We flew to Ireland and saw Radiohead, to Brussels the next morning for Coldplay, and then to London where he took me to Royal Ascot—because he knows I like getting dressed up—and Ed Sheeran that night.

“The last concert was U2 in Toronto. At the end of each day I would get a T-shirt revealing the band I was seeing the next night. It was crazy but so much fun. It took him six months to organise.”

Does anyone happen to know where can we find ourselves a Sam Worthington?
