When she’s not hosting her radio show or working on her new clothing line, Fifi Box loves nothing more than cuddling up with her daughters Trixie, nine, and Daisy, three.

Whilst she shares her eldest with former Ironman Grant Kenny, the mum-of-two welcomed her second child through IVF (in vitro fertilisation) but advises expectant parents going through the treatment to be aware of the realities.

“IVF is such a personal journey, and everyone’s experience is different but for me it was so incredibly rewarding and I was so fortunate to be blessed with my little Daisy,” she exclusively tells Now To Love.

“I think the best approach to IVF is to go into the process very aware of the statistics and realities. Setting realistic expectations might help with any heartbreaking outcomes.

“I was told I had a very small chance of success which meant I went into the process very measured and I was so elated and surprised by the outcome. I remember before I started IVF I had always thought it was an option for the future but it is not as simple as that.”

Fifi adds: “I really recommend young women who know they want children in the future educate themselves on their fertility so they are prepared if they need to go down the IVF path.”

“I remember when the girls were newborn people kept telling me it all goes by too fast, and they were right.”

With two kids under 10, life can get hectic but Fifi reckons the best parenting advice she’s ever received is to savour every moment.

“I remember when the girls were newborn people kept telling me it all goes by too fast, and they were right,” she admits.

“I make sure every day I am stopping down, no phones, no tech, no distractions, just one on one time with the girls really being present and having fun in the moment whether it’s drawing, making a puzzle or rolling around on the floor wrestling.”

What’s more, now that they’re growing up, Fifi reveals her girls’ personalities are becoming stronger every day.

“My girls are so different and watching their little personalities develop is my greatest joy in life,” she says.

“I think Trixie has inherited my sensitivity and creativity, but her imagination is a million times more impressive. Her stories and creations leave me speechless, I listen to her every day in awe of her beautiful mind.”

As for her toddler, Fifi admits her personality is “exploding on to the scene every day”.

“She may have inherited her strong will from me. Daisy knows her own mind and there’s no changing it! She’s also got a great sense of humour, in fact that’s something we all share, the three of us love to laugh and I love that about our home we’re always having fun.”

“We probably watch Frozen 10 times a week and that’s not an exaggeration!”

Fifi has partnered with shopDisney where Aussies can buy authentic products from toys to homewares and admits she has been a Disney fan since her own childhood.

“My favourite Disney movie growing up was a tie between Sleeping Beauty and Cinderella, and I remember long before I had kids I was collecting DVDs of all the Disney classics I would watch with my children and that’s exactly what I’ve done,” she says.

“I get so excited when we have a movie night and I get to bring out a Disney movie the girls haven’t seen yet, these are some of my favourite parenting moments.”

But as any parents will know, there’s one movie that children of this generation can’t get enough of.

“We probably watch Frozen 10 times a week and that’s not an exaggeration!” Fifi laughs.

“Daisy is obsessed with Frozen at the moment and it’s all she wants to watch. Trixie and I probably lean towards Moana, Tangled and Encanto. Oh, and Ice Age, I am obsessed with every Ice Age movie!
