After the success of this year’s series, Love Island Australia season two has officially been greenlighted.

And from where the show is filmed, who is hosting it, to how you can recreate your very own Love Island experience, here’s everything you need to know about Love Island season two…

Where is Love Island Australia filmed?

Just like the British series, Love Island Australia is filmed in Mallorca, Spain.

The party island is best known for its vibrant nightlight, stunning beaches and balmy weather during the European summer.

Although production will never unveil the exact location of the villa, much like the Big Brother house the show’s accommodation is fitted out with an intricate system of cameras so we never miss a moment of the action!

The Spanish mansion boasts a luxurious infinity pool so we can see all those banging bodies on full display.

For fans wanting to recreate their own Love Island experience, the best time to visit Mallorca is during peak season from June to September.

If you want to smooch a dreamy babe from Europe, that’s when it’s packed with tourists looking for a good time and the summer sun is pumping.

If crowds aren’t your thing, March through to May still has warm temperatures and less foot traffic.

Mallorca has a buzzing night life.

The Love Island Australia villa

If we were going to give up our freedom and be locked in a confined space for the sake of reality TV (and true love of course), our first dibs would have to be the Love Island Australia villa.

If you can get over the fact there’s 69 cameras filming you, couple swapping at every twist and turn, mixed in with a healthy dose of tears, tanties and talking about absolutely nothing all the while wearing a bikini or a pair of dick stickers, it’s pretty much like going on an all-expenses paid luxury holiday!

The palatial mansion is nestled on a secluded part of Spain’s party island Mallorca.

Hyper-coloured prints, spacious beds for spooning and cosy linen make for a very romantic bedroom setting!

Let’s face it, the lasses we’ve met so far on Love Island aren’t exactly low-key with their beauty routine so we bet their stoked there’s a make-up room.

With 69 cameras around the mansion, you can’t blame them for wanting to look good.

How to get your own Love Island villa experience

While the Love Island villa isn’t open to the public to rent out, you can find a huge array of stunning Love Island-inspired properties on Airbnb from all over Mallorca.

Whether you want an eight-bedroom villa right on the beach, or a more rustic casa tucked away in the mountains – Airbnb has options for all price points.

The real-life Love Island villa might not be open to the public but Airbnb has a huge range of villas that are just as luxurious.

Who is hosting Love Island Australia, season 2?

After fevered reports Sophie Monk would be getting axed from the second season of Love Island, the former Bachelorette star confirmed in July that she would be returning.

“Sophie’s appearance on Love Island is exactly what we wanted and expected, and is in line with the format’s hosting duties as seen on the UK version,” a Channel Nine spokesman said at the time.

“Sophie is a treasured member of the Nine family and has a long-term deal with the Network. She is currently filming a travel show for us in Italy and we look forward to working with her on various upcoming projects.”

This year, the first season was premiered on Sunday, May 27th.
