Vivienne Westwood has been shocking the fashion world for more than 40 years, so it’s about time she got around to shocking the rest of us as well.
Two larger-than-life nude portraits of the 71-year-old British designer went on display at London’s Institute of Contemporary Art yesterday, as part of a major exhibition by her close friend Juergen Teller.

Vivienne posed for the confronting images three years ago when she was 68.
One (pictured above) shows her lying on an ornate couch, while another more provocative image shows her full-frontal, reclining with her legs spread and her breasts and genitals clearly visible.
Both pictures are completely unretouched, showing Vivienne’s sagging skin, wrinkles and all the other ravages of time usually hidden from public view.
Vivienne attended the opening of the exhibition last night with her husband Andreas Kronthaler.
She has been close friends with Teller for years, and he was thrilled when she agreed to pose naked for him.

“I’ve worked with her a long time and I’m always amazed at how wonderful her skin is,” Teller told New York magazine last year.
“She looks amazing and she’s, like, 70 now. She was 68 when I did the pictures and I was just curious about how she would look naked.
“If you think of naked pictures of old people, they’re all wrinkled — and they are not!”
