Hugh Jackman’s recent Instagram post has caused his fans to fear something might be wrong after the actor appeared much older and thinner looking than usual.
The 47-year-old is usually known for his beefy frame and fresh face but in his latest post the actor gives the thumbs up next to his fish dinner he caught earlier in the day and while he’s smiling, he looks a little frail.
Fans left comments expressing their concern for the star and asking if something was up.
“What happened to you Hugh? You are looking much older than your age,” wrote one.
Another user commented, “Looking 60 years old… What’s wrong with your look?”
But other users have suggested all is not as it seems and Hugh’s apparent weight loss and aged appearance could hint at him playing ‘Old Man Logan’ – an older version of his Wolverine character.
One commenter wrote: “Sweet! Old man Logan is here!”
The father-of-two is confirmed to appear for the eighth and final time for the third Wolverine film, which will be based on the ‘Old Man Logan’ comic books.
A dramatic look could add to the Wolverine movie’s edgier plot – producer Simon Kinberg said that the upcoming films will be R-rated.
“It’s a very radical, bold, different Wolverine than you’ve ever seen in any of these movies,” Kinberg said.
“It takes place in the future, and as you and others have reported, it is an R-rated movie. It’s violent; it’s kind of like a western in its tone. It’s just a very cool, different film.”
Whatever the reason – we still love Hugh (and everyone is entitled to one dodgy picture!).
