This is what it's like to live with anxiety

This series of portraits depicts what it's like to live with anxiety perfectly.

In 2014, it was reported that just under half (45.5 per cent) of the Australian population will or have suffered from one form of mental illness in their lifetime.
These illnesses, like anxiety, depression, mood disorders, ADHD or stress, can gravely affect your ability to cope and manage everyday life.
It was hardships like these that prompted photographer, Katie Crawford, to create her haunting photo series, My Anxious Heart, which shows what it’s really like to live with general anxiety.
"Depression is when you can't feel at all. Anxiety is when you feel too much,” said Crawford, “Having both is a constant war within your own mind. Having both means never winning."
