Ask any woman what body part she’d like to improve and it’s fair to say many of us would point to our bellies.

The stomach is one of the hardest areas for women to tone up and sculpt, particularly as we get older and if we’ve had a few children.

But along with sticking to a balanced and healthy diet (they do say abs are made in the kitchen, after all!) there are loads of targeted exercises we can do to help firm up our stomachs.

And if you’re looking for some body inspiration to get you motivated, look no further than Halle Berry.

The 52-year-old is proving age truly is just a number, because thanks to the intense stunt training required for new role as an assassin in the film John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum, alongside Keanu Reeves, the former Bond Girl is clearly the fittest she’s ever been.

The Oscar winner loves to share her workouts with her 5.4 million Instagram followers. Halle’s even coined a hashtag, #FitnessFriday, as a way of showing how her fans can get fit alongside her.

Halle recently shared a killer ab session that can be done anywhere – even at home – without having to step foot in a gym.

“I will be demonstrating effective core exercises that can all be completed with ONE seasonal essential – a TOWEL,” Halle wrote on Instagram.

“This quick workout isolates various muscles in your abdomen to ignite your whole core no matter where you are.”

Halle’s Equipment-Free Ab Workout

  1. Straight-arm towel sit-up: 10 to 20 reps

  2. Straight-arm slow Russian twist: 10 to 20 reps

  3. Squat, press, and jump through burpee: 10 to 20 reps

  4. Overhead towel Bulgarian back lunge and side knee: 10 to 20 reps

  5. Mega plyo skater: 10 to 20 reps

After getting through one round, see if you can add a few more rounds onto your workout each time.

While a strong core is super important for our long-term health, it also doesn’t hurt that this workout will help give you a toned, flat stomach.
