Alex Dalton is laid-back, charming and looks like a young Jude Law’s long lost brother – so why on earth did he feel the need to sign up to a dating show?
“I was in a very serious relationship and that ended,” he tells Now To Love exclusively, revealing he joined Stan Original Love Triangle after his marriage ended.
“I took some time to myself to self-reflect and evaluate everything, pulled away from dating for a while and just worked on myself which was a great thing to do.”
But when he finally felt ready to put himself out there again, Alex realised the dating world had changed a lot while he was married.

(Image: Stan/Getty)“I thought I was ready and went back into the dating world and did all the dating apps, which I was completely new to being in a 10 year relationship… [but] I was ending up with the wrong people,” he laughs.
Confessing he kept choosing the wrong girls, it wasn’t until his cousin signed up for another reality TV dating show that Alex thought he might find love on TV too.
When she told Alex that the producers choose your matches for you, he figured there was no harm in giving it a go – after all, he’d had no luck choosing his own dates.
But did he give his ex-wife a heads up before he started filming?
“I did let her know… I couldn’t even give away details, I was contractually obligated not to say anything,” Alex reveals, adding that she was “fine” with it and wished him luck.
It wasn’t until his cousin signed up for another reality TV dating show that Alex thought he might find love on TV too.
(Image: Instagram)And it wasn’t just her blessing that Alex brought into the experience – he also has a background in acting.
Though he denies he’s a paid actor (we still think he’s secretly related to Jude Law), Alex has fond memories of acting in ads and small background roles on TV as a kid.
“I did a little bit when I was a kid, just a few little ads, did extra [roles] on Neighbours, not even speaking parts,” he says. “It wasn’t glamorous, I wasn’t running the show!”
His mum put Alex and his siblings into acting to build confidence and expose them to a professional setting, though he stopped acting in his teens before returning to TV to hopefully finds The One on Love Triangle.
