Bronte Schofield

Bronte Schofield, season ten

Melinda Willis

Melinda Willis, season ten

While it normally takes a few months for the MAFS contestants to show off their transformation, we couldn’t ignore Melinda’s shocking beauty change up.

She looks stunning in both photos but the only question we have is, do blondes have more fun?

Cameron Woods

Cameron Woods, season ten

2023 groom Cameron has also had his very own glow-up!

It seems Cam made the decision to stop visiting the hairdressers just a few years ago and now, he is popular on the dating series for his distinctive long locks – often tied up in a bun – and paired with a classic moustache.

Matt Ridley, season nine

Check out that grin! Matt revealed in May 2022 that he’d undergone some major dental work to transform his smile after appearing on MAFS. Though he didn’t dteail exactly what he’d had done, photos suggest he followed some of his co-stars and gott veneers.

(Image: Instagram)

Matt Ridley, season nine

He also shared this snap and tagged Vogue Dental Studios, where many other stars get free dental work in exchange for promoting the clinic. Given that veneers can cost upwards of $40,000, it may be a more affordable option for former MAFS stars like Matt.

Tash Herz, season seven

She was rocking dark hair when she first appeared on our screens in 2020, but these days Tash is embracing honey locks and a more natural look. Fans have also speculated that her eyebrows appear more lifted, but could it just be good angles?

(Image: Nine/Instagram)

Selina Chhaur, season nine

After copping some cruel comments about her race during her time on the show, Selina decided to embrace her roots (literally) and ditch the blonde hair and blue contact lenses after MAFS. Fans loved the darker locks and her natural brown eyes.

Lizzie Sobinoff, season six and seven

(Image: Nine/Instagram)

Cameron Dunne, season 8

Cameron’s appearance-overhaul is a little different to that of his fellow MAFS stars. The 33-year-old underwent an unrecognisable transformation before taking part in the show.

In June 2022, Cameron posted the throwback photo on the right to Instagram, writing: “Flashback to when hair wasn’t the only thing I could grow.”

Cameron sported facial hair and much larger muscles prior to his stint on the reality show’s eighth season. However nowadays, he’s looking much more like the photo on the left, taken during MAFS filming back in 2020.

(Image: Nine/Instagram)

Cathy Evans, season seven

Cathy is arguably the MAFS star who’s undergone the biggest transformation. Since appearing on season seven in 2020, Cathy has kept her followers updated with every step of her journey.

In 2021 alone, the 28-year-old spent close to $30,000 on a slew of plastic surgeries. The influencer underwent vaser liposuction and received a “mini Brazilian butt lift” where fat cells were taken from different parts of her body and re-injected into her derrière.

Cathy revealed in a YouTube video that fat was removed from her arms, upper and lower back, the area around the hips and her thighs.

Cathy Evans, season seven

Cathy has previously hit back at critics who claimed she took the “easy route” by going under the knife instead of working out in the gym.

“People are saying, ‘Why aren’t you just going to the gym?’ And I do go to the gym. What I am after is not found at the gym. This shaped, sculpted body by a surgeon or doctor is not found at the gym,” she said.

(Image: Nine/Instagram)

Poppy Jennings, season seven

Season seven star Poppy Jennings is unrecognisable two years on from her MAFS debut. The 40-year-old mother-of-two has slimmed down drastically, and now sports a shorter haircut too.

(Image: Nine/Instagram)

Sarah Roza, season five

(Image: Nine/Instagram)

Jo McPharlin, season five

‘Foxy Jojo’ underwent a major weight-loss transformation after undergoing treatment with a machine called MM Slim, which performs non-surgical liposuction. She also cut out fast food and overhauled her diet to complete her makeover, telling the Daily Mail in 2019: “I’m just a flat-out mum of two busy kids, working three jobs and now being a lot more organised with my eating.”

Jules Robinson season six

Jules Robinson, season six

One half of the series’ most successful couples, Jules Robinson, is constantly playing with her look and indulging in makeovers. Whether it’s a fitness journey or bangs to no-bangs and back to bangs again, she loves experimenting.

In early 2022, Jules told 9Honey that she wanted to lose weight before having a second baby.

“I want to have another child so for me personally, I didn’t want to put on another 20 kilos on top of the 20 kilos I put on when I had Oli.”

(Image: Nine/Instagram)

Lauren Huntriss, season six

After facing cruel online trolling when her season aired, bride Lauren debuted a toned makeover on Instagram with this amazing side-by-side shot. She captioned the photo: “Instead of dwelling on the negatives and mistakes you’ve made in the past, learn from them and turn them into something positive.”

(Image: Nine/Instagram)

Matthew Bennet, season six

He came onto the show as an unsure-of-himself virgin, but Matt looks like a whole new man after stacking on the muscles when he left the show. He reflected on his transformation on Instagram, writing: “Strange to think that 3 years ago, I would never have been confident enough to wear [speedos], let alone post a picture.”

(Image: Instagram)

Johnny Balbuziente, season eight

Johnny went on a gruelling 30 day challenge in 2021 to transform his body after appearing on MAFS and was pretty pleased with the results. “The proud smirk says it’s all,” he captioned the second snap. “Absolutely stoked with the results.”

(Image: Nine/Instagram)

Bryce Ruthven and Melissa Rawson, season eight

The couple that get new teeth together, stay together! Bryce and Melissa both got veneers to enhance their smiles after their stint on the show, Melissa writing about what fuelled her decision on Instagram: “While my teeth were not horrific before, I certainly lacked confidence with my smile because my teeth… If you look back at the professional photos from MAFS, I hardly ever smiled showing my teeth.”

(Image: Instagram)

Jake Edwards, season eight

This groom also got veneers after facing cruel comments about his teeth on social media when his season aired. “Even on my ‘wedding day’ I copped a lot of grief. Yes they’re cracked, chipped, tiny… you don’t need to tell me, I know,” Jake wrote on Instagram before showing off his transformed smile.

(Image: Nine/Instagram)

Aleks Markovic, season seven

Another fan of veneers, Aleks got her smile made over after filming wrapped, confessing that she “didn’t have a lot of confidence with her smile” before the procedure. The beauty also underwent lip filler injections and has shed a few kilos, showing off a toned new figure.

(Image: Nine/Instagram)

Patrick Dwyer, season eight

Patrick admitted he “didn’t realise how bad his teeth were” until he went on the show, later dropping a hefty $28,000 on a total dental makeover including a set of pearly white veneers. But that wasn’t the reality star’s only major change…

(Image: Instagram)

Patrick Dwyer, season eight

Before the show aired, Patrick revealed he’d headed to the gym for a total body makeover, packing on the muscles with a new workout routine. He revealed the results on Instagram after MAFS, writing: “It’s amazing how much you can change your body with a little bit of hard work and consistency.”

(Image: Nine/Instagram)

Liam Cooper, season eight

After a fellow groom on his season took a swipe at Liam’s looks, the star sought out a ‘facial rejuvenation’ procedure that used botox and filler injections to soften wrinkles and sculpt out his jawline. He showed off the results on Instagram with the caption: “I have always struggled with my jawline and I couldn’t be happier with the end results.”

(Image: Instagram)

Tamara Joy, season six

Tamara has been open about her dramatic transformation, revealing that she had a nose job last in 2019 after also undergoing a breast enlargement, dermal fillers and botox. Speaking to Yahoo about her plastic surgery, Tamara admitted: “People do it for all different reasons… If it makes you feel better about yourself, why not?”

(Image: Nine/Instagram)

Sam Ball, season six

Known for his mop of dark hair and matching beard, Sam shocked the nation when he shaved it all off – yes, hair included – in 2020. He debuted the dramatic new look on Instagram and it was later revealed that the reality star had joined the army, which was probably the reason for his drastic trim.

(Image: Nine/Instagram)

Mike Gunner, season six

Mike actually underwent his transformation just before he began filming his season of MAFS, undergoing scalp micropigmentation – which is the fancy name for a hair tattoo – before hitting our TV screens. These types of tattoos are used to disguise baldness, instead giving the impression of a shaved head. Mike was such a fan of the results that he’s since trained to provide these tattoos himself!

(Image: Nine/Instagram)

Cameron Dunne, season eight

Possibly inspired by Mike, Cameron decided to get his hairline tattooed after appearing on MAFS too. His transformation was spread over a series of two-hour tattoo sessions, though Cameron revealed the process was only 20 per cent as painful as a regular tattoo.

(Image: Nine/Instagram)

Michael Brunelli, season six

When Michael first appeared on MAFS he was sporting long hair that he typically pinned back into a man-bun, but the social media star quickly buzzed his head after his season aired. He cut off his luscious locks for charity, raising over $3000 for the Sydney Children’s Hospitals Foundation, and has kept his hair short ever since.

(Image: Instagram)

Martha Kalifatidis, season six

Call her a chameleon, because Martha is the queen of transformation. She has rocked just about every hair look since her raven-haired stint on the show back in 2019, including long caramel waves, a blunt red bob and even platinum locks.

(Image: Nine/Instagram)

Booka Nile, season eight

Booka is also a fan of transforming her mane, swapping her signature blonde curls for a short pink bob after her season aired. More recently the edgy queen adopted a flaming red ‘do with matching extensions to give her some added length.

(Image: Nine/Instagram)

Connie Crayden, season seven

Shy Connie really came out of her shell after filming MAFS, embracing a bold split-dyed look in the months after her season aired. She later ditched the blonde bangs and dark lengths for an all-over peach colour.

(Image: Nine/Instagram)

Coco Steadman, season eight

We knew her first as a brunette bombshell, but Coco proved blondes really do have more fun when she transformed her look with this bold honey bob.

(Image: Nine/Instagram)

Belinda Vickers, season eight

Her hair was always one of her defining features, and Belinda made it even more eye-catching when she dyed her mane this vibrant orange shade in 2021.
