The magic of Bluey has rapidly spread across the globe, allowing children, parents and those childless to enjoy the wholesome storylines.
But after the season three finale of Bluey, numerous fans have begun to question the future of the Heeler family – particularly if they will return for a fourth season.
Never fear, we have done some investigating to answer all your burning questions regarding Bluey season four.
What happened in the season three finale?
The season three finale was a history-first for the kids series, featuring a 28-minute episode where the average episode ran at roughly seven minutes.
In the finale, the Heeler clan prepared to leave their home to pack for a new city. And so, come the challenges of adjusting to a new location – a difficult task for anyone, not just children.
Has Bluey been cancelled?
Luckily for fans, Bluey has not been cancelled. The series’ producer Sam Moor has confirmed Bluey will be returning for a fourth season.
“No, it is not the end for Bluey. I’m sure we have many more surprises in store for you,” he said during an interview on BBC Radio 4’s.
“We are thinking what would be next.”
However, the brilliant minds behind Bluey will be taking a well-needed break following the third season after a “very intense” few years producing the series.
“It’s been four or five years and we’ve made 154 episodes, it is kind of unprecedented to do that back-to-back,” producer Daley Pearson told The Courier Mail in 2023.
“We are resting; the more we ask ourselves [when work will begin on season four], the longer it will be, which is why I hesitate talking about it too much.”
According to Daley, the show’s producers “all secretly agreed” they wouldn’t create another season if “it wasn’t as good as the one that came before.”
What are the Bluey Minisodes?
Disney has announced it will air seven Bluey mini-episodes, with the initial two premiering July 3 8pm (AEST) and the following five rolling out over the “Read, White and Bluey” marathon.
The episodes will long go for one to three minutes, featuring sweet and funny moments between Bluey and Bingo.
When does Bluey season four air?
The LA Times reported that season three ceased in April 2022, and in consideration to the writers and producers announcement that they would be taking a break in July 2023, it is unknown when Bluey will return for a fourth season.
