How Woman’s Day gets these HelloFresh discount codes and deals
Our dedicated deals team draw on years of experience finding valuable offers (and using them). So we’ve worked with HelloFresh to bring you an exclusive discount code that makes it easy to save when you sign up. We also regularly check the HelloFresh website, emails and other sources for the latest, and most relevant promo codes and deals. We also test every deal before adding it here and remove expired offers. Basically, we want it to be as easy for you as possible.
Does HelloFresh have a discount for existing customers?
A lot of HelloFresh discount codes and promotions are for new customers, or sometimes returning customers. But HelloFresh does offer a 10% discount for existing (and new) customers aged over 60.
To get the seniors discount, you need to login to your existing account and upload ID to verify your age. Or, if you’re new, create an account.
Then, you’ll get 10% off every HelloFresh box.
Does HelloFresh have a student discount?
Yes! If you’re a student, you can get up to $76 off your first box, and up to $24.75 off your next seven boxes via StudentBeans. As well as being available for new customers, this offer is also available to select past customers.
How much is three meals a week with HelloFresh?
The cost of three HelloFresh meals per week is $10-$12.50 per serve, depending on how many people you order for. Here’s a detailed breakdown, from lowest to highest cost per serve, and the total cost per order (excluding shipping):
- Six people: $10 per serve, or $180 per order
- Five people: $10.80 per serve, or $162 per order
- Four people: $10.83 per serve, or $130 per order
- Three people: $11.67 per serve, or $105 per order
- Two people: $12.50 per serve, or $75 per order
In other words, the more servings you order, the less each serve costs. HelloFresh also has details of the costs per serve for 2-6 people and 2-5 serves on the website if you want to check other people and serving costs.
When you have a HelloFresh discount code, you’ll also find details of the usual serving cost and how much you’re saving when you place your order.
Is HelloFresh worth it?
The value of HelloFresh depends on a lot of different factors, including how many people you’re cooking for, how much time you spend cooking, whether you’d get takeaway without it and even how often you end up throwing out stuff in the fridge (food waste is expensive!).
But to give you a bit more of an idea, here are some scenarios when you could get good value from HelloFresh:
- If you want to save time on cooking and grocery shopping
- If you don’t want to always have to decide what to cook
- If you’re in a rut with your meals
- If you’re new to cooking for yourself (or don’t have much confidence)
- If you usually resort to takeaway
- If you want to eat healthier without thinking about it too much
Sophie Monk also told us back in 2021 that HelloFresh helped her after the pandemic.
“Throughout corona, I had to start ordering Hello Fresh, because I was binge eating. I had to pull my head in. I started ordering that and making it and it’s so filling and healthy, but not super diet-y where you’re eating kale everyday,” she said.
“I’ve never been able to cook, but now I could legit enter MasterChef.”
One of my siblings actually introduced me to HelloFresh when we had a family dinner a couple of years ago and I really enjoyed it. We spent less time in the kitchen, the meal was tasty and I got to keep the recipe card – which means I can cook it again on my own.
What is the downside to HelloFresh?
This is another one of those questions where the answer could be different for everyone. But one big thing to keep in mind is any allergies, intolerances or specific dietary requirements. For example, if you follow a gluten free or vegan diet, you’ll have more limited selection of meals (but there are still HelloFresh recipes you could choose from).
Another factor is whether or not you actually cook the meals. Like all fresh ingredients, they have a shelf life – so if you don’t get around to cooking them during the week, it might be a waste.
But you can pause and cancel HelloFresh at any time. So if you’re curious, it’s probably worth trying – especially with a discount code to help you save.
