Prepare for a battle of the shows on tonight’s episode of Dance Boss when Home And Away take on The Morning Show in a special celebrity dance off. Both teams will take centre stage with glamorous routines and the outfits to match.

Team Morning Show, consisting of hosts Kylie Gillies and Larry Emdur, set the standard with a fitting homage to Singin’ In The Rain‘s ‘Good Morning.’

“It’s a bit of a nod to one of the great musicals of our time,” Kylie, 51, tells TV WEEK. “We wanted to capture a little bit of that morning magic.”

Kylie and Larry steal the show with a Singin’ In The Rain inspired routine.

While Kylie jumped at the chance to return to the dance arena, after her time on Dancing With The Stars in 2009, she says Larry took a little persuading.

“He took some convincing but god bless him, he did it for me,” she laughs.

Despite spending countless hours on screen together, the duo were the most nervous they’ve ever been while filming.

“We do live TV everyday but we don’t usually sing and dance,” Kylie explains. “So we were more scared about that 90 seconds than the two and half hours we do every day!”

The Home And Away girls channel their inner Katy Perry.

On the other side of the battle, the Home And Away team take on iconic pop tune (and now unofficial Summer Bay theme song) California Girls by Katy Perry.

Ada Nicodemou, Penny McName, Olivia Deeble and Sara Roberts are set to put Summer back in Summer Bay with their bright pink costumes and bubbly routine.

“We tried to stick with the Summer Bay theme,” Penny, 35, says. “We had great set pieces like beach chairs and milkshakes.”

The ladies of Summer Bay sparkle in pink.

But a routine worthy of the Dance Boss stage isn’t all sunshine and candy, it takes hard work.

“I think we had 36 rehearsals in 2 weeks. It was hard!” she says of their preparation. “The four of us at work the next day would be whinging about how sore we were.”

It certainly paid off, with the ladies wowing the audience and judges.

Now, we’re left to hope the TV gods that be will hear judge Sharni Vinson’s words and grant us a Home And Away musical.

The Dance Boss celebrity battle will air tonight on channel Seven at 7.30pm
