South Park has poked fun at Prince Harry and wife Megan Markle in spectacular fashion, in what fans of the show and royal watchers alike are calling ”cut throat and brutally honest.”

The Emmy award winning adult animation has aired for more than 25 years across 26 seasons and is known for its profanity and dark surreal humour that satirizes a substantial amount of its often real life subject matter.

Across its run it has satirized the likes of Tom Cruise, Michael Jackson, Alec Baldwin, Bill Gates, Kanye West and even political and religious figures such as Donald Trump, Hillary Clinton and the Pope.

The episode was called ‘The World Privacy Tour’.

The list is long and endless, the legal threats continuous, but the show has managed to fend off threats of defamation thanks to the first amendment in the United States, guaranteeing free speech.

But is their lucky run over?

In the episode, Meghan and Harry are depicted as (unnamed) Canadian, not British, royals who decide to leave Canada after a morning show host suggests Harry is a hypocrite for criticising journalists despite acting as a journalist himself in writing Spare; and questions whether Meghan really wants her privacy.

In a shocking moment, the host describes Meghan as an “Instagram-loving b***h wife,” causing the pair to storm out of the studio at onto their private jet, where they embark on an extremely public “worldwide privacy tour”.

After depicting the former royals in their latest episode – The Worldwide Privacy Tour – it is reported that the producers of South Park will soon be (if they haven’t already) hear from the Sussexes lawyers.

And given the controversial couple are set to be ”fuming”, that doesn’t come as a surprise.

Spoofing their desire for ”privacy”, South Park mocked the former royals in a brutal way.

Whilst the episode does not directly name it’s two leads, it is clear who the characters are satirizing with the featured characters described as Canadian royalty and dubbed ”the prince and his wife.”

The characters engage in all manners of shenanigans, begging their new neighbours in South Park for privacy, whilst drawing attention to themselves in a ridiculous (but frankly hilarious) way.

Whilst the animated pair aren’t officially named, it is clear who the characters are satarising.

Harry’s polarizing memoir Spare even gets a cheeky poke and is retitled in the episode to ”WAAAGH.”

Royal commentator Neil Sean told Fox News that legal ramifications were almost guaranteed.

”Their legal team are casting an eye over the episode so see what is wrong, and what could be turned into something more sinister.”

Writer and broadcaster Esther Krakue said that the way in which the South Park episode mocked the couple was on par with public attitudes towards them. The comment casts doubt on the legitimacy of any forthcoming legal claims.

”The Sussexes made it very clear that one of the reasons why they were leaving the Royal Family was in pursuit of their own privacy,” she told Sky News host Caroline Di Russo whilst live on air.

”And in the time since, in the years since, they’ve done everything to prove the opposite. They can’t seem to get enough of media attention.”

In a shock development, Meghan and Harry say the claims they want to ”sue” the show for defamation are ”baseless and boring,” according to an official spokesperson for the couple who spoke with Newsweek.

If you would like to watch the episode for yourself, it is currently streaming on Paramount+.
