When Duchess Meghan was pregnant with baby Archie, she had the entire world watching her every move – not least to see what the trendsetting royal would wear.

But even so, the Duchess managed to keep some things under wraps – and the feat has become clear as day for us fashion followers now, as stunning never-before-seen pictures emerge of Meghan.

And they’ve certainly provided us with an extra dose of maternity-wear inspiration we never knew we needed!

Taking to Instagram, Sussex Royal posted a series of incredible unseen pictures of Meghan when she visited Smart Works charity, an organisation for which she is a patron and one that helps vulnerable women gain skills and confidence to rejoin the workforce.

The palace revealed in the post that Meghan had undertaken a series of “quiet” visits to the charity over the past year.

While she was at it, she noticed something important, which was explained by Sussex Royal in the caption.

“Throughout her visits she noticed that while the donations were plentiful, they were also notably a combination of mismatched items and colours which weren’t always the right stylistic choices or sizes that didn’t necessarily “suit” the job at hand,” the statement read, before adding the primary aim was for women to “feel confident and inspired as she walked into her job interview.”

We cannot stop staring at these gorgeous new images of Meghan at Smart Works – here, she wears a beautiful tweed maternity dress by Gucci.

The statement continued to announce something very exciting for the Duchess – she is launching an entire line of key work wear essentials.

“This initiative is supported by four generous brands who share the vision to empower the women of Smart Works to look and feel,” the caption continued.

Indeed said brands to be taking part in the exciting new project are John Lewis, Marks & Spencer, Jigsaw and Misha Nonoo. who incidentally is one of Meghan’s close pals.

The Instagram post was accompanied by no less than five incredible pictures of the Duchess interacting with members at the charity.

In one glorious image, she is seen wearing a beautiful tweed Gucci number, which shows of her rotund baby bump she was sporting at the time.

In other images, Meghan is seen wearing her gorgeous black Courrèges coat, which she was also seen wearing for her baby shower in New York City back in February.

The Duchess has been making secret visits to organise the exciting collaborative project over the past year.

In her guest-edited issue of British Vogue, which is set to hit stands this coming Friday, Meghan explained that the collaboration between Smart Works and the brand “reframes the idea of charity as a community”.

The collection will be sold on a 1:1 basis, meaning for every clothing item purchased, one clothing item will go to the charity for a woman in need.

“Not only does this allow us to be part of each other’s story; it reminds us we are in it together,” Meghan explained.

The news is particularly welcome to Meghan’s fans, who absolutely covet every wardrobe choice she makes.

In fact, the Duchess has a particular knack for selling out entire lines of stock within minutes of stepping out wearing a piece by any given designer.

The brands partnering with Smart Works are also no stranger to the royal either – Meghan has been known to wear Marks & Spencer on occasion (much to our delight).

Indeed in November last year, she wore a gorgeous black dress by the affordable high street label to a gala at the Royal Albert Hall.

While the beautiful black capped sleeve dress worth $AUD94.00 sold out almost instantly, it was amazing to see Meghan embrace affordable fashion in this way.

Meghan wowed fans in this elegant black M&S dress.

And in an exciting update, it does look as though Marks & Spencer Australia have a near identical version of the dress currently available online.
