Rumours first started circulating in March 2017 that Naomi and Billy were dating, as they were spotted in public together for the first time.
This outing was a few months after Gypsy finished filming.
July 2017: Naomi Watts and Billy Crudup are confirmed to be dating by a source
The pair were reportedly seen holding hands in July 2017, further sparking dating rumours.
These rumours were then confirmed to be true by a source to PEOPLE Magazine.
Naomi and Billy attended the BAFTAs afterparty together in 2018.

January 2020: Billy Crudup thanks Naomi Watts at the Critics’ Choice Awards
Following his role in The Morning Show, Billy won best supporting actor at the 2020 Critics’ Choice Awards.
In his speech, Billy thanked Naomi, saying “Thanks to […] my son and my friends and family and Naomi and everybody, so thanks a lot.”
While it seems like a very small gesture to mention Naomi’s name quickly, it was the first time that Billy publicly acknowledged their relationship.

While appearing on the Today show in New York, Naomi wore what seemed to be an engagement ring.
The Today host said to her, “My eye is hurting. There’s a big glint coming from some ring over here. It just struck me. But it’s beautiful,”
Naomi was clearly trying to avoid talking about it and she simply replied, “Oh, the brain fog!”

Naomi announced the news of her and Billy’s marriage via her Instagram page on 11 June 2023.
Naomi wore a stunning white Oscar de Renta dress, while Billy cleaned up nicely in a slick navy suit.
More details of their wedding day were shared by Naomi during her interview with Jimmy Fallon in January 2024.
“We knew we wanted to do it, it was something we were very keen on doing and quickly. It’s an efficient way to do it,” Naomi said of their courthouse vow exchange.
The couple weren’t fussed about having a big and grand ceremony and just wanted it to be ‘efficient’.
As for the day? It turned out to be perfect for them as they took to a New York courthouse on a ‘classic New York day’.
“You ran into all kinds of people, some were dressed to the nines, and some were walking quickly in and out. It was very special and memorable.”
