If you follow the ex-Summer Bay star online you would have seen plenty of glimpses behind-the-scenes teasing the new series.

The show centres on a small town facing destruction at the hands of a greedy mining company.

As a result, history teacher Sarah Cooper (played by Stella Baker, daughter of Simon Baker) comes up with a highly unconventional idea that involves the town using a loophole to establish itself as its own country.

Luke has appeared in a number of big US shows.

“Citing various historical maps, she explains that the land on which Greylock sits was never properly claimed by the United States,” the official show synopsis reads.

“If Sarah and her friends can convince the town to vote for independence, Greylock would gain international sovereignty and could protect its land for good.”

So where does Luke come in?

The 36-year-old plays Sarah’s estranged brother, Danny, who “after enduring a difficult childhood at the hands of his mother,” finds himself back home and “eager to exact his revenge on a community he feels abandoned him.”
