Adele has been calling Rich Paul her “husband” for a while now, even though they haven’t married or even officially become engaged yet.

But while Adele gushes about the man she’s admitted she’s “obsessed” with, there are questions among fans about why Rich doesn’t seem to be reciprocating her public declarations of love.

“Have a look on the outside: Rich wears no ring, no trace of Adele on his page, EVER, no trace of Adele in any of his posts,” one fan, claiming to have information from a person “extremely” close to Rich, wrote on X.

The fan also claimed that although Adele, 35, speaks as though they are married, “they always fight about” the fact that Rich hasn’t proposed.

An insider tells Woman’s Day, “Adele is so in love, she’s charging full steam ahead while Rich, who is notoriously private, seems to be taking a more chilled approach.”

Rolling in too deep

Adele jumped headfirst into her relationship with Rich, 41.

In early 2021, her divorce from longtime partner Simon Konecki was finalised, and within a few months, she went public with Rich, a powerful sports agent known for representing LeBron James.

In October of that year, Adele made it clear that she wasn’t messing around in regards to her current relationship.

“The last thing I need is someone who doesn’t know where they’re at or what they want,” she told Vogue.

“I know what I want. And I really know what I don’t want.” Perhaps dropping a not-so-subtle hint to her man, Adele stepped out – solo – at The BRIT Awards in February the following year, wearing a huge Lorraine Schwartz diamond on that finger, inevitably sparking rumours they were engaged.

Six months later, she finally addressed the rumours, admitting, “I’m not engaged. I just love high-end jewellery!”

“Time flies”, she posted on Instagram to mark one year with Rich.

In the same breath, she was quick to point out, “I’m just in looooove! I’m happy as I’ll ever be. I might as well be married.”

But Rich seems less reticent to be public about their romance, telling CBS journalist Gayle Kin that his personal life is not for the media.

When Gayle asked went on to ask if she should refer to the Grammy-winning singer as “Mrs Paul” the next time she sees her, he replied, “You can say whatever you want.”

Rich – who has three kids of his own, including a college-age daughter – hasn’t even acknowledged the songstress on his Instagram.

A year ago, Adele laid it all out in the open, revealing to the world that she is keen to remarry and “definitely” wants more children to join her son Angelo, who turns 11 this week.

“I’ve never been in love like this. I’m obsessed with him,” Adele said of Rich.

Friends are worried

Adele’s been sharing her family dreams with close friends Jennifer Lawrence and Emma Stone, who are both happily married with young kids, but her friends can’t help but worry she could be in too deep.

“Her friends are concerned she’s 100 per cent headed for heartache,” a source tells.

But Adele is showing no signs of slowing things down anytime soon.

Just recently, the singer did a shout-out to “my husband” during a concert in Las Vegas, weeks after revealing how lucky she is.

She told a pregnant fan, “I really want to be a mum again soon, so I’ve actually been writing a list. Every time I see a name that I like I write it down in my phone.”

Now the tides changed, after her appearance at Alan Carr’s show where she confirmed she recently married Rich.

Fans and celebrity gossip platform, Deuxmoi report that during Alan’s set, he took a moment to ask the crowd if anyone had recently married to which Adele yelled out “I did!”

Although who knows because after the comments she’s made in the past, they might very well be still just dating.
