Just days after debuting a dramatic new look, Brooke Blurton has headed into the salon again to makeover her hair for a second time.
The 2021 Bachelorette revealed her latest style switch-up on Thursday, posting a mirror selfie of her longer, thicker hair days after snipping it into a bob.
Not satisfied with her shorter ‘do, Brooke had hair extensions added to her new dark mane for a fuller, more volumized look.
“Being brunette again is giving me when I did Bachie 2018 vibes,” the 27-year-old confessed in an Instagram caption.
It’s true that her latest transformation has her looking remarkably similar to how she did three years ago when she headed into the Bachelor mansion for Nick “Honey Badger” Cummins’ season.
Unfortunately, that stint with the franchise didn’t end well, Brooke joking that these days “She’s got better style… and maybe better taste in…. I’ll let you finish that 😂 “
Fans noted that the caption sounded like a subtle dig at not only Nick Cummins, but Brooke’s latest Bachelorette beau, Darvid Garayeli.
She chose him as her winner in the 2021 finale, exchanging commitment rings on the show before moving in together at her Melbourne home.
But just a few weeks after the finale aired, Darvid dropped a bombshell on Instagram, revealing that he and Brooke had split.
She was apparently blindsided by his announcement and said as much in a brief response on January 2, 2022, when Darvid shared the news.
Later in the month, Brooke addressed the split in more detail, saying that she was the one who decided the relationship had to end but she still had huge respect for Darvid.
“I still love him dearly and have no regrets choosing him. I just wish the world was a little bit more gentle on us in the time we had,” she said.
Now, fans have joked that Brooke is undergoing the classic “break up transformation” many women seek out when a relationship ends.
Typically, that includes a fresh hair style – often involving a big chop like Brooke’s earlier trim – commitment to self-care and new workout routine.
Well, Brooke can definitely check off the first two!
As well as making over her tresses, the proud Noongar-Yamatji woman has been prioritising her mental health and connection to Country.

“I am really excited for finding all the different cultural and meditative practices that you can do and practice to heal, and to become a better version of yourself,” she said in a recent Instagram video.
In the clip she spoke about the break up, as well as her ongoing grief following her sister’s death in late 2021 in Brooke’s native Western Australia.
Following the recent news that WA borders will remain shut, meaning she can’t return home any time soon, Brooke was left even more heartbroken.
“Moving to Melbourne was a career sacrifice but in times of need and spiritual healing, your country always calls you back,” she said on social media.
