The world’s most eligible bachelor got down and dirty on Monday taking part in a mock rugby match with teachers and students in Manchester to promote the sport in schools.

Despite joking he was “past it already” a 30-year-old Prince Harry joined male and female teachers along with Sarah Hunter – the vice-captain of the England team that won the Women’s rugby union World Cup in August – in a friendly scrimmage at the Eccles rugby club as part of his duties as patron of The English Rugby All Schools campaign.

According to the Express a few of the female teachers were only too happy wrestle the Prince with one reportedly blushing afterwards: “Prince Harry touched my cheek!”

Even star athlete Sarah Hunter, 29, from Newcastle, admitted: “When I go back and tell my England teammates that I played alongside Prince Harry, I think they will be jealous.”

Harry, a qualified rugby coach, was there to promote the number of state secondary schools playing rugby union.

At present there are around 1,600 state schools in the UK playing the game but by 2019 the scheme hopes to have added 750 more schools.
